“Its not often that you find a property that exceeds your expectations, but this certainly did. The lodge was beautiful. Extremely spacious and felt like real luxury from the minute you walk in. “There were 17 of us staying and it was perfect for us all. Plenty of space, comfortable accommodation, fantastic facilities, beautiful views. The pool and hot tub were a huge hit. Would definitely recommend and would love to return. There were a couple of issues with door handles. One fell off all the time and one was impossible to lock. But, apart from that, it was perfect.”

“We had an excellent stay here. Beautiful property with plenty of space for a group of 8 of us. Including children between the ages of 1 and 5 years old. “A great cottage for a short stay with a young family. Communication was great with the hosts and they were so accommodating. Having a parking space in Shaldon was a real bonus too. Bunk bed room is as described, not suitable once children are over 12 or so. Our son is 12 now and it was a squeeze in the bunks but fine for only a few nights. I’d say ideal children under 10 but lots of stairs so take stair gates. Towels were a bit musty, so I wish I’d have taken our own and things like hand soaps……
