I monitored this hotel through recent reviews before deciding to maintain my reservation. I read the room details and observed previous guests' reviews including photos and videos, setting my expectation for the room size accordingly. My spouse and I stayed at this hotel from April 23rd to May 4th and were away for 3 nights while visiting Kyoto. The room met expectations, and the pillows were not hard as mentioned by some reviewers. We did extensive sightseeing and used the hotel primarily for sleeping. Open luggage occupies walking space, so we kept our luggage closed except when retrieving clothes or storing purchased items. Despite a review mentioning construction noise, it was not noticeable during our stay. The staff were courteous and accommodating despite the language barrier. Interaction with the housekeeper was also positive. Rooms were cleaned after the third night, which was satisfactory as we maintained cleanliness. Instructions state that one bag of rubbish can be collected on non-cleaning days. Complimentary coffee is provided in the morning and late afternoon until late evening. For those who prefer, there is a 7-Eleven just outside the hotel and a Lawson across the street. The hotel held our luggage from checkout at 10 AM until 5:30 PM.A minor inconvenience was the provision of only one key card, and the dryer taking an extended time to dry clothes even with a small load. Aside from this, I would consider staying here again in the future.
