The staff member was friendly and had I sought out help, they would have likely helped but I don’t think there’s much help for this facility short of a bulldozer.
It is sort of conveniently located just south of Toledo but a smidge weird to get to once you get off of the expressway…and don’t miss your turn or you’ll be driving through a semi-truck graveyard swerving around a few chasm-sized potholes in what used to be some type of industrial area.
The room smelled as if it was a smoking room and after smoking a few packs in the room 20 years ago, they boarded up the doors…that is, until I booked a room and they quickly tried to get the smell out of the walls.
The description described a room with a microwave and fridge and it had neither. The tv would’ve been great, had the remote been in the room. The mount for the fire alarm was empty on the wall, but good news, the actual fire alarm was in a drawer in the tv stand (but the remote was no where to be found).
Lighting certainly left a lot to be desired but I’m afraid if there was anymore light, I would’ve spotted more issues.
Oh, and I had to walk very carefully up the exterior stairs, as there was so much rust, I was concerned that with too much aggression in my steps, they would’ve collapsed.
I did mostly sleep through the night and I only needed it for a quick one-night stay, and it accomplished that. However, next time I’ll choose elsewhere.
