“What a spot! The house is set in beautiful gsrdens right on the stunning howqua river, amazing views, beaut base to visit jamison or murchison or explore up into the high country. Andy is an A1 host.”

“This is definitely budget accommodation, the unit was not flash and the upkeep to our unit poor, washing machine didn't spin out (leaving clothes very wet) and the door jammed making it difficult to exit (lucky we didn't have to exit in a hurry. However, if these things don't both you then the location is amazing, and there is a good variety of facilities. The staff were very helpful with extending our booking a further night when we had to change plans late at night. My conclusion is the staff……

“Hosts were amazing. Freshly baked bread on arrival. Eggs, milk, homemade biscuits jam, marmalade, lemon butter & butter. Selection of fruit in fridge. Sunday morning Maggie the hostess with the mostest brought me fresh baked raspberry & coconut muffins. Very relaxing place. Thank you Maggie I will be back Kiri xx M”

“Great place to visit. We definitely could have stayed a few more days. Plenty of dog friendly activities. It would be a great place to stay at other times of the year as well We very much enjoyed Maggie’s baked treats and the Strawbale cottage holiday vibe. A bit warm because of a couple of very hot days so another fan or aircon would be great.”

“An amazing property perfectly located. We loved our stay and the amenities that the property had to offer. It was so clean and accommodating. The views are simply stunning in every direction. It was very private and the kids loved it. ”

“Excellent location with outstanding views and environment. Accommodation is excellent for what it offers, eg. quiet, private, comfortable. Would recommend at least a couple of nights stay. Come prepared for self catering as the town of Mansfield is at times very busy. It’s not 5 star, the cabin was clean and adequate in its offerings.”

“The cottage was very well kept and really comfortable! The owners were very welcoming and great at communicating. One thing to note is that the mobile coverage in the area isn't great, and to access any nearby sights you have to drive. Overall we found the stay really comfortable and the hosts were lovely!”
