“Just got back from an awesome weekend getaway with the guys at the New Castle Rock Lakefront spot, and it was exactly what we needed. The place is super peaceful, tucked away in the woods right on the lake—perfect for escaping the city noise. We spent most of our time on the huge deck enjoying the views, and the firepit by the lake was great for winding down in the evenings.The house is spacious and had everything we needed. “ELATED to be able to stay at my grandparents’ home in Wonewoc again (they owned the house for over 65 years). As a child (and only the granddaughter), I spent summers there swinging on the porch swing with my grandpa while he sang, “You are My Sunshine,” to me…Catching turtles in the creek, trying on my grandma’s trendy clothing from the 1930’s in the attic, feeding my grandpa’s fish in the spring-fed well (basement), etc. It was (and still is) a very magical place.
