Wasn't told my room was in the basement until arrival. My room had no fridge or microwave which I was told it would have had. The A/C was so cold that I developed a bit of a cough. Noticed a centepede crawling around in the morning. I opted to forego my second night and just left. This is more like a hostel than a hotel!

This isn't your conventional lodging. I gave this property 5 stars because I got everything I needed, but let me explain what you're in for. I got one of the cheapest rooms, which was essentially a closet with a bed, chair, and table. The shared bathroom was a few feet away. Depending on the room you rent, you'll be getting the bare basics, so just be aware of that. Soap and a towel is provided. The Chinatown Traveller's Home is in a quiet, convenient location. There's a park nearby that always has people exercising or relaxing, and if you cut through it, you're just a few blocks from CN Tower. The location is excellent. There is no room service and the bathrooms will be restocked at least once a week. The staff IS available at all times, so if you arrive late at night, they'll still be able to help you out. TLDR: this place is great if you need a bed to sleep in and won't spend a lot of time in your room. The only thing you might have to worry about is the people you share the bathroom with.

Bro the room was so tiny they don’t give no water or nothing not even soap or towel and someone scratched my car outside the hotel and they say they don’t have no cameras n it costed me extra 500$ to repair

The fan was working really well. Even if it was super hot outside I was great in my room. The bathroom is very little and the shower isnt the best. The soap provided sucks. I was provided with good towels and bedding. Very hard bed but it works fine when you don’t have anywhere else to sleep. It was calm outside and inside.

I was happy about the table, chairs, microwave and fridge. Very nice.

This is an awesome place if you're looking to stay somewhere on a budget and aren't planning to spend a lot of time in your room. It's clean, and convenient - close to lots of amenities. The rooms are basic but clean and we slept great! If you need parking- ask in advance as it gets filled dup fast and there's not a lot of parking around.I'll definitely come back!

This is a fair price and a great location.Rooms are confortable but not fancy .Parking if you drive a car is somewhat inconvenient but is only a short walk from underground parking in China town at the corner of grange and Spadina where you can park all night .

Basic and good for a short stay. There was no tea kettle, no deadbolt or chain to lock door from inside and only one light bulb for whole room. The area was also not the safest at night but fine during the day and plenty of local shops and Tim Hortons, MacD nearby.

Great location - Walkable to many city spots. This is a bare minimal place, but cannot be beat for the price - if you are looking for a simple bed and shower and don’t plan on spending much time in the room. This is the place.

The room and the bathroom were clean. The property was Air conditioned. There were a microwave and a refrigerator. But the outside of the property was dirty and had to wait 10 mins outside for the owner to come and let us in. Overall if anyone wants to have a room to just spend the night I would recommend.

The worst service, I have had ever. The air conditioner was not working properly, since I complained and asked for fan. Then even though, they did not provide. Please don’t book this hotel for your future trip in Totonto.
