Definitely lots of potential for this property. Beautiful area and close to lots of sights. The room configuration was strange, grounds were nice but still in progress. Our room was freezing cold and we couldn't figure out how to stop the fan from dropping to very cold temps through the night.

The property has a number of high-end finishes and feels to it however they have also missed the mark in some areas. There was no walkway from the parking to the hotel. The front desk clerk argued with me about my online booking experience. The elevator was slow and awkward. There was no light at the end of the hall where our room was. The room was EXTREMELY small and difficult to move in. The phone didn’t work. One light did not work. There was no cold water (only came out warm/hot). On the plus side, the bed was comfy and we had access to Netflix.

Nigel and his staff were welcoming, friendly and accommodating. The service was outstanding. The food was very tasty and presentation was lovely. My stay would have been perfect it not for a WIFI transponder ringing and flashing lights all night long. I barely got any sleep. Stayed at Mount Alverno for the first time and we had a decent stay. The place was clean and spacious and staff was very friendly and understanding. While we didn’t have dinner on site we were notified about the restaurant and hours and appreciated the convenience of having it there. The downside of our trip was that upon going to our room and using the bathroom, the toilet started running (and draining) but would not stop. We called front desk and they sent someone to have it quickly resolved. Unfortunately after coming back from our dinner off site the same problem persisted and they offered to give us another room. We appreciated that and took the next room. Unfortunately this room was not as nice as our executive king room, but luckily there were no more toilet issues. Overall it was a decent stay and I would consider coming back and hope they have that toilet issue resolved.

What a jewel of a property! You have the feeling that you are much, much further away from the city than you are when staying at Mt. Alverno. The hotel itself is stunning, and full of surprises. The staff made us feel more than welcome, and we had the treat of a little history lesson about the property from the Head of dining. I would return in a heartbeat.

Amazing hotel, very clean and modern, great services, many thanks to Nigel who was extremely supportive to change our room and gave us complimentary second room to accomodate our request. Great experience, we will definitely come back!

We really enjoyed our stay here. After a day of skiing, it was a quiet place to come back to with beautiful surroundings. The staff were great, and the restaurant was beyond expectations.

Hi there website says luxury resort. This is definitely not a resort. It’s a two story building with 22 rooms that are sterle. Bed was small for a king, and very uncomfortable. The walls are so thin we could hear people in the next room. The dining room was six tables it was not a dining setting more like lounge drink setting. One thing front welcome staff was great after that couldn’t get a hold of anyone by phone called front desk 7 times. No tv cable at all. Bathtub was dangerous for elderly people. Not store on site nothing to do at all. Very expensive dinner and for room to be categorized as a luxury resort

The absolute most luxurious hidden gem, tucked away in the woods, with a gorgeous scenic view. The staff go above and beyond and beyond and beyond. The rooms are stunning. The restaurant and menu are top tier. I can’t believe I was lucky enough to find this place, very last minute, as I got trapped by the snow and closes roads. A little slice of heaven. Don’t hesitate to book your stay here, absolutely do it!
