“This was our best stay on our whole trip to Scotland. While, it was a little off the beaten path, it provided a quiet, cosy oasis after we had been staying in towns in lodges without parking for our car. Achmore had ample parking on site. Ida met us at our car and showed us to our room while loading more fire wood in the pot belly stove in room. It was a lovely site as we walked in! So warm and cosy. “Comfortable well furnished property with en-suite bathroom. Bedrooms were great and bright and airy. Lovely views of the water from the front of the house. Peace and quiet. “The cabin is beautifully situated on a hill with stunning views on Loch Long. No other noise than the little streams, wind and birds. “What a great find, 26 Harbour Street is just around the bay from the Plockton Hotel, so a good bar and restaurant was only 2 minutes walk away! The house was lovely, well furnished, a lovely Aga kept the house warm. All the bedrooms were well appointed and all 3 bathrooms were of a similar standard. “Lovely clean hotel, obviously recently upgraded. The only thing which let it down was service in the restaurant which really wasn’t the best. New staff were great but unfortunately the experienced staff member we met wasn’t going to be much of a mentor. Bottle of wine just dumped on the table and left .. not what I expect from a 4* hotel.
