This absolutely stunning property is often referred to as 'The Hidden Gem' of the Avalon Peninsula. Three beautiful acres nestled in the historic village, fondly called "The Cribbies", of Tors Cove, Newfoundland. The home is strategically placed for total privacy while still enjoying absolutely stunning world class panoramic coastal views. Enjoyed by Tourism NL for their award-winning commercials and the film industry for multiple years of ongoing productions for television shows such as Hudson & Rex and Departure.

It is located directly on the East Coast Hiking Trail which is one of the most sought after hiking trails in Canada. It overlooks the picturesque islands of the Witless Bay Ecological Reserve. The panoramic oceanfront views of majestic humpback whales, dolphins, eagles, sea otters & puffins make every day a special experience. Come explore the private beachfront and the miles of rocky shoreline on your front doorstep! Great Oceanfront Property

Fantastic location right on the ocean. Spectacular views! We saw Bluefin Tuna jumping in the bay just off the rocks. Nice cottage-like feel but with a fully upgraded and modern kitchen. Would book this place again for exploring St. John’s to Portuguese Cove

Amazing seaside retreat

Beautiful place, the photos don’t do it justice. We loved exploring the grounds and walking the sections of the East Coast Trail. Perfect location to make trips into St John’s and explore the Avalon Coast. The best part was the watching the ocean, we had daily sightings of tuna breaching and sea lions. Would return in a heartbeat.

Spectacular!

This place far exceeded our expectations....trust me the pictures do not do it justice. Everything about this property is amazing. We spent two glorious days at the beginning of August here and still cant stop talking about it. The massive picture windows, spacious open concept living area, comfy beds, well stocked kitchen, mini telescope, games, delightful pond, meandering paths, peaceful wooded areas and most importantly the stunning oceanfront make this spot truly stand out. We will definitely be back.

Its hard to put into words how stunning this property is. The views of the ocean, the well maintained grounds, the tastefully decorated house, the overall welcoming and peaceful vibe - we were blown away. Not to mention the location - just steps from the East Coast Trail and nestled in one of the provinces most beautiful areas. So much to do and see. And make sure to get up early to catch the magnificent sunrise! Our hosts were amazing and went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. We will definitely return. If you are looking to make your trip to Newfoundland even more magical, you must stay here. Five stars all around.

Amazing place. We’d love to stay here again.

This house is amazing! Tucked away in a secluded part of town, when you’re there you feel like you have the ocean to yourself. The grounds are huge and the views are fantastic. Modern kitchen with all the appliances, dishes, etc that you could need. Property is clean and owners were great to deal with. We’d definitely return.

Beautiful home and property

The property and home were wonderful and the views are gorgeous. The only issue we had was with the address. If you put it into GPS it will take you to another town. The property owner helped straighten things out, but I would suggest correcting the address to Back road, Tors Cove.

Perfect location!

This place is amazing! The view from the deck is incomparable, the house is lovely, with all the rooms on one level and completely accessible. There are lovely walking trails nearby, but it's just as enticing to sit in one of the Adirondack chairs on the deck and read and soak up the sun. A perfect getaway spot.

I will never forget the view

This place has the most unbelievable views of the ocean and landscape. It was very comfortable for my family; a wonderful place to be no matter what the weather. We saw whales from the living room, and my daughters took a short walk and saw seals. The owners were incredibly kind and accommodating, as well as quick to answer our questions. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

The house itself was beautiful - exposed wood, huge windows, and every amenity you could ask for. But best of all were the surroundings you could see from those windows: the ocean was right outside, as were the woods and walking trails. The view from the house was spectacular, and at night we all gazed for hours at the moonlight sparkling on the ocean.

Charming Community with Incredible Ocean Views

Tors Cove is a charming and quiet little community with incredible ocean views. We feel extremely fortunate to have stayed at this property for our week vacation this past summer. The cottage was spacious, uncluttered and well maintained. We loved the open concept living space with all of the natural light streaming through the A-frame windows. Bedrooms were very comfortable and bright and the bathroom spacious with a washer/dryer combo that was incredibly helpful. The view of the ocean from the cottage was absolutely stunning and perfect for whale and boat watching right from the deck. We spent time walking the trails within the community down to the rocky beach where we skipped rocks, collected various sea treasures and watched an incredible show of a group of Northern Gannets "torpedo diving" for their dinner! We hoped to take more advantage of the East Coast Trail, which is right off the property entrance gate, but unfortunately one of our daughters had sprained her ankle the week we left for our vacation. We quickly pivoted our plans and took advantage of other nearby adventures including Sea Kayaking in Cape Broyle and a Zodiac Tour operating out of Petty Harbour. So many whales, seabirds and cave exploring. We also enjoyed a few days in and around St. John's, which was only a quick 30 minute drive from Tors Cove. Thank you Frank & Sandra for sharing your North Atlantic Oasis ... we hope to get back again for more memorable adventures!

Lovely home and area!

We just loved this home and the location, the views!!! The views from this home are absolutely spectacular in any weather conditions. The house is beautiful with everything you could possibly need or want and was very clean. I loved the area, a lot to take in and do. Beautiful location right on the Atlantic Ocean and offers expansive views. Great hikes start at the end of the driveway. Convenient to other scenic locations in Avalon. Generally, the House was beautiful and had everything we needed but could use a little TLC.
