Towada Municipal Utarube Campsite faces the eastern shore of Lake Towada and is located in TowadaHachimantai National Park where deciduous broadleaved trees such as beech Mizunara and maple trees spread out
The site is surrounded by trees giving it a bright forestlike atmosphere The east side of the site faces Lake Towada and you can enjoy canoeing and SUP from the site There are tourist spots in the surrounding area such as the Yasumiya district with its maiden statue and the Oirase Gorge so it is easy to plan your trip starting from this campsite
Open fires are strictly prohibited on the site but fire pits are available for rental in the management building Firewood charcoal fire starters and lighters are also sold so you can enjoy a bonfire without bringing your own equipment
