“We loved staying at this property. Comfortable beds, and the villa was immaculate. Our kids loved having the outdoor shower(s) and private pool. If other people were staying on the property, we didn't see them. We did not rent a 4wheel drive vehicle, which is highly recommended. The road leading to the villa was VERY steep. We were fine, but if it had rained during our stay we might have a different opinion on that choice!”

“This place is a hidden gem, we sprung for the villa and it was well worth it. Missing this place as we’re in San Pedro, very new with all the amenities needed for a relaxing getaway. Villa Massis brings the amenities to the jungle, we loved seeing monkeys on the property. The staff and food were excellent, resort offers a very intimate dining experience. “Love the lodge feel and extremely kind and helpful staff. Our family stayed for three nights. Since driving the last mile was a little challenging, we opted to have dinners every night at the Lodge. Great service and wonderful food, but a bit on the pricier side compared to eating in town. We did the ATM excursion through the lodge. “Absolutely perfect stay. We had the 2 bedroom villa which was gigantic. It comes with a well equipped kitchen and a back terrace that is perfect for breakfast sojourns before getting into the heat of San Ignacio. There is a pool here too, albeit small. The staff are particularly great, and everyone is super polite and helpful. You will need a car to get here, and it’d make sense to rent one anyway as you have to drive in Belize. “I recently stayed at The Cabins at Monkey falls in Cayo and had a great time! The staff was incredibly accommodating, especially when I mentioned that the initial bed wasn't as comfortable as I would have liked. “Nice small resort on the river. It has a restaurant & bar offering breakfast, lunch & dinner (dinner options limited). They can arrange tours, we did 1 thru them & it was good. It's not in town but within 10-15 minutes, so if you want to go to dinner in town you'll need a car. We had an issue with air conditioner that they fixed right away even though it was Good Friday, had to jiggle with toilet a few times to get it to work & 1 entry door would only partly open.
