“The house was beautiful and even bigger than we expected. The grounds around the house (sheltered patio, fire pit, pool, etc.) were a delightful addition to our group’s stay as well. The host was very nice and made the check in and check out process very easy. The only issue we faced was that the house got very warm as the house is not air conditioned, though there were a few floor AC units and fans available. Overall we had a great stay and would definitely return in the future.”

“The apartment is convenient to Colgate. It is clean and contains all of the necessary essentials. The owners are organized and good communicators. The owners offered us use of their electric vehicle charger, which was very nice.”

“This quaint and very comfortable Lakeside House is a fabulous retreat! The house is clean, tastefully decorated and well stocked with the essentials. The furnishings and beds are very comfortable. The view is stunning and ever changing with interesting wildlife. We particularly enjoyed using the Kayak(s) and the firepit. The shed had plenty of supplies for aquatic activities and grilling. The only drawback to this wonderful cabin is the long climb up and down on the slab staircase leading……

“They supposedly didn’t know we were coming, there was a mouse in the toilet, the floors had not been swept, they had a bunch of food and in the freezer and fridge, liquor had been out, no wifi or service, the bed sheets were dirty, no curtains on any of the windows, the doors and ALL windows were unlocked when we got there but the didn’t know we were coming? ”

“Beautiful, serene and unique! The perfect getaway to relax and unwind. My husband and I stayed 4 nights with our dog and enjoyed every moment. The property is incredibly private and makes you feel like you're in your own secluded garden. The house is so unique and very cool to think on how old the building is and that it was once a working grist mill. It was a perfect blend of the old and modern.
