The lodge office closed at 6 PM, and I was caught off guard as I hadn’t received any prior notice. I kept calling the phone number posted on the office door, but no one answered. Feeling frustrated, I even contacted Expedia, but they couldn’t help either. I was about to cancel and look for another place to stay when someone I met at a nearby convenience store contacted the owner’s family, and I was finally able to check in. Honestly, I felt like giving just one star, but since I have no way to thank the person who helped me, I’m giving four stars as a sign of appreciation. The office should either clearly notify guests of their working hours in advance or make sure to answer emergency calls, even if the number is unfamiliar. After driving for hours from Zion Canyon, dealing with this situation was incredibly exhausting.
