“Staff was very pleasant, but communication was difficult at best. I would recommend future guests to make sure you have WhatsApp or you could feel very isolated. The room was very clean, but not what we expected. Pictures did not seem to be a realistic representation of the property. ”

“Very responsive to requests. Helpful and friendly owner and staff. The property listing states "Restaurant" however, you can buy a meal (good local cuisine) but it is whatever is being cooked that day. No menu. I am sure the cook would prepare food to meet your needs. I enjoyed the local meals. ”

“We had an early morning flight so decided to stay here rather than rushing and worrying in the morning. The hosts Lillian and her husband were such lovely people and extremely helpful. We ate out locally and theres a well stocked supermarket just round the corner. Lilian organised Mr Chino the local celebrity taxi driver to take us to the airport fist thing and everything was well.organised and we didn't want for anything. “We had a wonderful stay. The bungalow was spotless and decorated super cutely! We spent several hours just floating in the pool with drinks (available for purchase). The hosts were available all the time and took us to/from the airport, saving us $30 each way. They also called a local restaurant and had someone come pick us up to take us to dinner. Could not have been happier! Wonderful place. ”

“Cute little condo. We stayed for 2 days with our 2 kids and visited the ruins and old Belize. We arrived at night and the addresses on the houses are very difficult to see since there are no street lights. Neighborhood looks a little sketch but is completely safe. Would stay here again! ”

“Property was spacious, and clean. There was a lot of things that they considered to make it seem more like home. There’s a grocery store a few blocks away if you would rather stay in to eat. “I really enjoyed this place very clean
Communication was great! Bed was so soft and I had everything we ended. My family and I walked to local street venders and stores and didn’t have any problems. The area looked scruffy but place and the locals were nice and friendly. It definitely exceeded my expectations. Will come back again”

“I had a quick overnight visit to Belize City and this vacation studio was perfect for my needs - centrally located, quiet and safe area and the studio space was very comfortable. The host does an above and beyond by adding some activities/tour tips for the area and is readily available by phone/WhatsApp for any questions. Highly recommended and very satisfied.”

“We were looking for the wrong address at first. My fault. We looked for #2 and it was actually #10. Once we found the bakery we were home free! The place was mostly clean except for a dirty hand towel and wash cloth. It was just plain Jane. The mattress on the bed even said “basic”. But it worked fine for a quick overnight.”

“We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Carmen’s Rental in Belize City. It was a great central location to take in local tours from and we felt very safe to walk around the area as well. Easy 10 minute taxi drive to downtown. Carmen was very easy to communicate with and provided recommendations for restaurants, tours and taxi operators.”

“I enjoyed my stay at this hotel so much. It’s small, meaning it’s quiet and not crowded with people but has a great pool area and gym like a bigger hotel. The room was new and modern with lots of great features. Location was great, very close to the municipal airport and short drives to water taxis. An area with bars and restaurants was just a short walk away.
What really makes this hotel stand out is the people. Ahead of time Laura and Julia were very helpful messaging about what to expect……

“Fort George Hotel and Spa was such a nice place to end our trip before heading home. The hotel is new and modern, we stayed in the oceanfront room, which only just opened last month, and everything was clean, spacious, and it was quiet. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We had a bite and drink at the bar in the restaurant, the food was delicious and we were offered complimentary bread and a ceviche shooter which was a nice surprise.
