“This was a nice place to stay, very clean and had everything we needed. We loved how isolated it is, and it had great views of the stars. The description is misleading/wrong though. You do not get a whole cottage to yourself. It it more of a duplex where the host lives on one side of the building. It says to get keys from the neighbor which we assumed was a different house, but its not and the actual neighbor is quite annoyed that people keep showing up asking for keys. “Highly recommend this charming townhouse in Portree. Attractive living room and well-designed kitchen downstairs, with two comfortable bedrooms and bathroom upstairs. The location is unbeatable -- a 5-minute walk takes you to the town center for shops, pubs and groceries. Another few minutes takes you right to the harbour and more. Perfect launch point for trips up the Trotternish peninsula and over to the Cuillin mountains. The owner was very responsive and helpful, even sending us a heads-up……

“This was the best place to stay—a beautiful house, cozy bedrooms, lovely downstairs sitting area with fireplace and dining room, lovely kitchen with everything we needed. I loved the one small bedroom upstairs whose window looks out over the beautiful landscape outside. Lorraine made us feel most welcome. It’s a bit of a drive out to reach the house, but so very worth it. We even had a rainbow and a full harvest moon while we were there. ”
