The first few days of my stay, I would have said the hotel was older and tired. Night three after a long day, the handle to the shower fell off and then I could not get hot water. I reported it the next morning due to being very tired. Was told maintenance would fix it with no offer of new room. That afternoon, it was still not fixed - maintenance had called out and housekeeping would fix it. Arrived back at 8 pm and it was not fixed. Was told they could let me use a shower in another room for that night, but I would need to check back in the morning. My workshop started at 5:30 am the next day (my last with checkout at noon). I asked at 5:30 if I could get access to a room with a shower for 10-11. They weren’t sure at that time. When I arrived back at 10, I was rudely told the shower was fine. They reminded me that it was an older facility and had a few quirks - seems on this shower, cold is hot and hot is cold. In short, they treated me as if I was just being a Karen and they had no patience with me. I was never given an apology with the exception of the manager who could offer me nothing but the apology and an extra hour to check out.
During this time, I tried to stay calm. I did get emotional and shed a few tears out of frustration, no shower for three days and being treated so rudely.
