This is an old motel, and they lean into that with the vibe and decor. Very quaint! Don't expect a 4-star full-service hotel and it's fine. Staff are friendly. Coffee/tea available in the morning. Pet friendly with a dog run area full fenced in. Tucumcari has seen better days. Dining is VERY limited, especially on Sunday when we were there. There is a full grocery store in town.

Adorable on the inside and cute out. Nostalgia brings you joy as you listen to the old radio. Super cute decor. My room had an old Betty Crocker cookbook. Moon pies and RC Colas for the 2 in the room. Love this place

The hotel itself is a dated 50s style hotel. The rooms are very dated with TV trays for sink space in the bathroom. They are clean and cute with a radio from the 50s.

This motel is by far one of the best places i’ve stayed at! Gal in the office was so sweet and helpful! She even checked on us after we got to our room to make sure we were all set! We are traveling with our pup and they left a very nice metal bowl, a cute towel and a complimentary treat for use while we are here! There is a fenced dog area which i love! Very cozy and the theme is spectacular! If i come through the area in the future we will ABSOLUTELY stay here again! Highly recommend to everyone looking for a nice quiet spot!

Charming motel, glad we got to stay there. If you want the old fashioned feeling of a Route 66 Motel, stay here. Music plays in your room with old commercials. They recommended eating dinner at Dell's (which was amazing) and breakfast at Kix on 66, a super cute diner with great food.

Good for pets, tgats about it.

We stayed here because it was dog friendly. The room and establishment are from the old route 66 era. Despite being advertised as retro, and it was, it was also in poor shape. Our room was very small and had nowhere to put luggage or toiletries. The room had a musty smell that triggered our allergies and the bathroom had no fan so you can guess how thay effected the room after use. I made the mistake of booking 3rd party and ended up paying almost 150 for the night. The owner/manager was nice and helpful and making the best out of an old relic of a hotel but we will stay elsewhere next time through.

Wonderfully restored motel on rt 66, radio playing old commercials, moon pies in your room along with vintage magazines. Office is only open specific hours but you can make arrangements if your arriving after hours. Also, pet friendly. You can purchase pet supplies for your furry friends & the art work on your walls can be purchased. Fun place

What a gem!

Roadrunner Lodge is a total gem! If you’d like to get a true Route 66 motel experience, give Roadrunner a try! Rooms have a vintage radio playing when you walk into your room…a really fun touch! Bed was comfortable, room was clean and the environment was quiet. Could hear a little TV noise next door, but no worse than many stays elsewhere. The host was extremely helpful and friendly. Will definitely return if we get the chance!
