First time staying at an Aloft, we expected better. First off, we weren’t told the room phones weren’t working. We tried to call down to the front desk and it was not operating. We were told after I brought it up that the phones were in the process of being upgraded or something. Secondly, they didn’t have enough towels for the second guest. We just needed a large body towel, but was told that they didn’t have enough available. As for the reason, we don’t know, because the guy pretty much froze and couldn’t tell us why. Meanwhile, a couple of other guest had came down to the lobby requesting another room because theirs was still dirty. Third, bathroom space wasn’t great or functional. It serves as like a mini kitchen/bathroom. But also, the shower just isn’t sealed properly. So water gets out into the floors easily and you’re left with a puddle when you’re out. Then, you have to use towels to soak that up but then have to use it wisely because you were told they don’t have enough.
