This 1940s beach house was such a cozy and nostalgic stay—it truly felt like stepping back into simpler times. My children walked in and immediately said, “This feels like Nana’s house,” which perfectly captured the charm. Unlike so many rentals that are overly modern, sterile, and monochromatic, this home stands out for its warmth and character. Staying here felt like visiting grandma’s house by the sea, and that made this family vacation so much more rewarding. We did not take the bikes off the property but would've loved taking a bike ride down the strip.

This cute house was very clean and only 1 minute walk to the beach. We very much enjoyed the hot tub after a swim and in the evening. The host promptly answered any questions we had and was very nice. Altogether a great experience in this adorable and relaxing getaway

The house is very quaint with nice porch and roof top deck with nice view of the ocean. Short walk to the beach and lighthouse. The house had everything we needed, including washer and dryer, close to very good retaurants, and very comfortable. We loved it!

Minutes to the beautiful beach. Cozy cottage. Quiet street. Kitchen needs to be stocked better. No wine glasses. Few drinking glasses. The electric stove is antiquated and stove top coils hard to cook on. Two did not heat up well. Overall nice experience and the rooftop deck was a nice plus. Todd had the place clean and ready to go. Bring extra toilet paper-LOL. OVERALL A RATING. WE WOULD RENT AGAIN

This little house is great! Clean and comfy with everything we needed. There were 5 adults and we all loved it. Perfect location. Beach just steps away, hot tub, crows nest to watch the full moon! Anything you need close by. Hosts were great with communication. I would absolutely recommend to anyone and trust me....we will be back here soon!!!!!

Great vacation cottage, very well kept and clean. The owner was very responsive to questions, answering in under 10 minutes. Loved the back patio and outdoor shower, and the deck had an ocean view where you could see container ships coming in and out. Would definitely stay again!

We loved everything about our charming home for the week! It was cozy, comfy and close to the beach!! The hot tub was wonderful to relax in at the end of the day! The extra, chairs, umbrellas and bicycles were also enjoyed!!

Excellent location

Our stay started off poorly, as we were not sent info for how to enter the house. We reached out before we arrived, but it took the manager an hour after we arrived at the property to contact us. We reached out via the app, contacted VRBO, and tried to call him to no avail. Once we finally got into the house and had some dinner, we decided to go into the hot tub…but it wasn’t hot. So we had to wait overnight for it to heat up. Given that we reached out ahead of time to confirm that it would be ready for us, we were sorely disappointed. Be prepared to change in the bathroom…between the gaps in the curtains on the bedrooms’ French doors and the mirrors, there’s very little privacy (privacy window clings would be an excellent addition). Sound travels, so not much privacy there either. The house was small but sufficient. It was a tight fit getting our group to sit together at the table or in the living room, but we made it work. The grill worked great! Plenty of electric cookers and pans, but no ice cream scoop. Isn’t that mandatory in a VRBO? And why only 1 extra roll of toilet paper for 8 people for a week stay?The location of this house is perfect! The proximity to the beach, with its short walk through the dunes is why we chose this property and it was everything we expected! The beach is extensive when the tide is out and even though we were there during a busy week, we had ample space to ourselves. All in all, if we return to Tybee Island, we’d stay here again.

Easy access to the beach and town! No nonsense check in/out. Thankful for the roerty owner for letting us bring our dog. That made a huge difference. Would definitely stay again.

Everything you need

Loved all the extras guests can use like bikes, beach chairs and umbrellas. Appreciated the porch swing, rocking chairs on deck and hot tub. Outdoor shower with hot water was amazing to have after going to the beach. Easy walk to multiple restaurants and a convenience store. Easy bike ride to the bike route street and lighthouse. Expect some “old cabin” things like a burner on the stove didn’t heat, drips from an ac vent in the front bedroom, fridge door shelves missing but I wouldn’t have chosen differently. Great cabin location and amenities.

Wonderful location

From the front door it's just steps to the beach on one side and multiple restaurants on the other. It's a small house but all we needed with plenty of sleeping areas, hot tub and an upper deck with great views of the ocean.

Perfect casual beach Getaway

I wanted my grand daughters experience an old fashioned beach home and got my wish. It could use some sprucing up and perhaps new furniture in living room area. It was clean but cushions worn and depressed so making it challenging for my elderly husband to get up since it made his behind lower then his knees! All basic appliances provided. The weather was not cooperative but no one has control of that! I would recommend it to younger family who did not wish to worry about interior being to fancy. Made me wish I was there with my daughters when they were young. Loved the hot tub.

Great cottage!!! Tucked away and quiet with lots of excellent outdoor seating and a huge hot tub. Will definitely go back.

Cottage feel. Near quiet beach

Hot tub was so nice, and upper deck. No dishwasher but that was ok. Bring tupperware & plastic cups if you have kids or cook a lot. And paper plates. Crockpot, keurig, waffle iron, electric skillet, toaster oven,Blenders all there. Firepit nice, got wood at major grocery stores. Is Near lighthouse, took good tour of it & battery museum..

Tybee is great

The location is great - a one minute walk to a beautiful beach. Hot tub that seats eight and rooftop deck. The cottage is definitely vintage 1940's. The space is a tight fit for 7 adults and a baby but everything you need is there. And the island seafood is hard to beat.

Wish We Could Stay Longer

We would absolutely rent this cottage again. It's close to everything, but it's tucked away and you have privacy, even in the hot tub! There's an outdoor shower, which is just smart. The beach is a short walk, less than two minutes, and even there you aren't overrun with vacationers. The house has all the amenities you'll need to rest and relax. The home owners were quick to respond with any texts or calls. Savannah is 20 minutes away, easy to get to, and worth the drive. There is so much Civil War history to learn. It's easy to move around on the island, we walked a lot! You will be glad you rented this home!

Tybee beach

House was not that clean. Floors, shower curtain, laundry left in dryer . Hot tub was not clean even though he said he added chemicals ( just needed fresh water). Walk to beach was good but over all the place needed cleaning.
