Welcome to this charming and quaint cottage, nestled on a quiet road within easy walking distance to the beach, restaurants, and shops. The moment you arrive, the bright and beachy colors, along with the delightful tin roof, beadboard wall, and white picket fence, create a picturesque setting for an amazing beach stay.

Step inside the main cottage, where a warm and welcoming living room/dining and kitchen area beckon you in. The first sleeping space features a delightful Twin daybed, adorned with colorful pillows and throws, creating a cozy and inviting spot for relaxation. The second sleeping space offers a Full bed, nestled in a private three-walled romantic nook right around the bar area.

The intricate design of this cottage is both clever and creative, with everything thoughtfully placed and functional. The decor exudes a peaceful and calming atmosphere, embracing the light and colors of the sea. The adorable eat-in kitchen and overstuffed chairs in the living room, complemented by a screen TV, add to the comfort and enjoyment of your stay.

The full bathroom is located through the kitchen towards the back of the house and conveniently features a second door leading to the outside, facing the guest house.

This delightful cottage also features a charming guest house at the back, offering a comfortable Queen bed, TV, and AC for a cozy retreat. Please note that the doorway into the guest house has a step over and down threshold. The full bathroom is located in the main cottage, just a few steps away, and for added convenience, the washer and dryer are situated on the back porch.

Sweetest Little Cottage
This is my second time staying in this cottage and I love it. It has everything you need for a weekend retreat. Incredibly close to the beach and in a quiet neighborhood. Host was always helpful and prompt to respond.

Fantastic Beach Option
The Old Love Cottage is exactly as marketed - small, charming, so close to the beach that it cannot be beat. We appreciated the location so much and had a fantastic time. It's definitely a very tight fit for five people given that there is only one real bedroom, and that room is in a different building! However we felt that the description was very thorough and we knew what we were getting into. The only reason I am not giving it five stars is because the cottage needs, and deserves, a little TLC. Given the price point, some upgrades in terms of the stove, washer dryer, outdoor shower, and kitchen items is needed. But, again, the location is the best you will find on Tybee. Walking distance to restaurants and shops, 150 steps to the best, least crowded, beach area on the island, and two parking spaces... Absolutely perfect.

Hot visit to Tybee
Washer & dryer didn't work. A/C couldn't keep up with the hot weather, nighttime was the worst trying to sleep and it wasn't cool enough for comfort. Tried to call after hr. maintenance number, didn't connect or take a message. That was frustrating, but overall, we had a good time. Cottage is very cute.

New love for old love
The location was amazing, the beach was less crowded than other spots, the walk to the beach was easy and beautiful. The house is rustic but charming in its own beachy way. The bed in the guest house is a queen not a king. Nice place for a couple as someone else remarked. The AC worked well and in the Georgia heat it was needed. We had a few issues and there was no follow up from the rental agency but some of the issues self resolved so wasn’t a problem. The other issues we didn’t report but the washer does not rinse cycle and the tub drains slow. Not deal breakers for us. For the price and location it is worth the stay.

Problems from day 1
When we arrived at the cottage, we loved the location, found it quaint and nicely decorated. Unfortunately, the wifi was not working. We called the property management company and a concierge came out the next day and confirmed the router wasn’t getting power. He sat up a Hot Spot, and planned to return the following day with another box. The hot spot did not provide great service and this was a working vacation for us, so my husband missed several meetings. The new box failed, too. We were told the hot spot would have to do till we vacated. Then, the AC went out. The management company was quick to offer a transfer to a “nicer home.” It was very hot, but we only had two nights left, so we did move. This was a huge inconvenience, and this beach bungalow was two steps up, the new home was 2 flights of stairs in extreme heat. It was miserable and took 1/2 a day dealing with this, 1/2 a day dealing with AC. Basically, a whole day of our 3 day/4 night vacation. The property manager said we would also get a discount, but so far, we have heard nothing from the owner. This cottage was one home from the beach, the “nicer home” was 2 blocks past Butler (three blocks from the beach).

Tybee Cottage vacation
We loved the location of this adorable cottage. It was nice to follow the path and get right to the beautiful beach and ocean! We rented bikes for a few days which was awesome for getting around. A few things I would like to address are as follows: I wish that nice beach chairs were included with the price of the rental. The chairs there, I’m quite sure have just been passed on from one guest to the next. I was able to pull out 4 but only two were usable. We purchased another chair and we left it there for the next person. The ones there are quite rusty and the leg broke off after one time at the beach. My daughter was also stung by a hornet as there was a small nest right where the chairs were kept. I just feel it’s a small price to pay to supply chairs for far away travelers. The little added guest house is such a nice retreat but the AC does not keep that room cool. Because of the poor AC out there, it would be GREAT to have a bigger fan out there other than a small table top fan that in no way provided any relief. A pedestal fan that oscillates would be a much better way to go. The outside shower was absolutely awesome and we used it daily!! We did enjoy our stay here and would stay again for the location alone. Just a few minor details as I mentioned would make ones stay a much better experience!

Fantastic Locale, Tucked away out of sight
This was a very cozy locale only a few steps from the beach. Very clean and tidy. Not a lot of noise. Only issue was AC vents were a little clogged. Husband cleaned one out a little and airflow returned. Would highly recommend to friends and family. Will be back in the future. Thanks for an awesome time!

Great Tybee Cottage
Small, very clean and cozy. It is really only 99 steps to the beach. I will go out on a limb and say it is probably the best cottage on Tybee. We will definitely look for this one again when we visit Tybee.

Authentic beach bungalow
We’ve stayed nearby this home every summer for 15 years and loved the history and true look of a small town beach house. This year we needed extra room so rented this home for 1 extra couple just 1 home away from the main rental for my family. The separate bedroom behind the main house has windows that open with screens on both sides of the bed allowing for some amazing afternoon naps! Very clean and the owner has made great use of space. Quiet area with easy beach access and just steps away from the Sugar Shack, Chu’s market and a good restaurant.

Spring Getaway
Loved this little cottage. Was perfect for four 50+ adults. Only thing I can complain about are the cooking pans. They are very old and passed the point of use. The non-stick coating Is peeling off so we couldn't cook and egg or anything else. One good knife would be a great add also.

What an amazing location!
I took my mom here as a retirement present. The cottage is cute as a button and very cozy. Our first day was very relaxing with warm and sunny weather - being steps from the beach we were able to move back and forth with ease. Even with cooler, windy weather the next couple of days the cottage made a great Basecamp. I'd definitely come back.

Cute and Quirky Beach Cottage
Cozy cottage with fun and beachy vibe. Rental was small but had efficient use of space with separate guest room in backyard. Loved the well equipped kitchen and especially the short walk to the lovely beach. Small but private yard with nice high boy seating table for drinks or cards.

Perfect getaway!
This was the perfect quiet, cozy cottage for our family getaway! It was nestled on a nice little street right off the main highway with a wonderful access to the beach. It was just me, my husband, and our son staying in the cottage and the space was absolutely perfect for us! We rented bicycles from Tim's Bike & Beach and they actually delivered the bikes to our cottage and picked them up when we were finish, which was supper convenient for us. The location of the cottage was right next to the bike route on the island and was perfect for early morning and afternoon rides. I would recommend this cottage for any couples or small groups looking for a peaceful getaway on the island.

Clean and close to the beach, but has some negatives
Pros: - Clean - Good area that is very close to the beach Cons: - Mosquitoes outside the property are TERRIBLE. There would be a group of them outside the cottage door pretty much at all times, it was difficult to keep them out of the cottage. Yes there are mosquitoes all over Tybee but the density was much much worse at the cottage. Very discouraging. - We had a pretty bad ant problem, it seemed like the placemats on the kitchen table had sugary things spilled on them from a previous guest. Was not a huge deal, but called the guest services line about it and never got a response. Summary: Honestly a very nice cottage and excellent location, they just had some small problems with bugs that brought down our experience. If they get these problems worked out this is a great place to stay for the price point.

Old Love Cottage - the Luv Shack
This was our second time staying at the old love cottage. It's a great location on the north end of the island and only "99 1/2 steps to the beach". Super cute cottage with a nice second building for extra sleeping space. It is comfortable cozy and well had a good, well stocked kitchen. The Sundae Cafe, The Sugar Shack, Salt Island Fish and Beer, Savannah Praline Co, and a convenience store are withing a couple hundred yard. Everything else is a short bike ride away. The house has great morning sunlight, and excellent central air for those hot afternoons. Quiet, relaxing, and comfortable. Highly recommended.

Charming Cottage with Poor Communication from Management
This Cottage was absolutely adorable! It had everything you needed to cook with including seasonings, plenty of good quality bath towels, board games/puzzles, beach chairs, umbrellas, etc. The location was great as well. The cottage had a short 99 1/2 step trail to the beach. This portion of the beach wasn’t as crowded either. It is a mile from the pier. It did have surrounding neighbors, but we had no issues with loud noises. It is also on a dead end street. You are close enough to walk to grab a pizza, eat seafood, coffee, or icecream. The disappointment as for the stay was mostly the communication from the property. I messaged them on the day we arrived because we couldn’t find the beach chairs and one of the lightbulbs was out and wanted to know if they had extra stored anywhere. They never responded. Our first day on the beach we had no chairs as we waited a response back since we were told the cottage had beach chairs. On our second day, we found the chairs. We also discovered the WIFI password didn’t work. Our phone service was not great here to use our internet to look up things. I didn’t bother messaging again since I still had yet to hear back. We were also told prior to our stay the grill was gas, and it was a charcoal grill. The cabinet that held the games was in such a mess, I organized it myself. Overall, we had a wonderful trip. As far as returning to this particular cottage, I would not. I loved it, but would not wish to risk staying in the event of a major issue and no response from management.
