“The area: The title of the listing said "San Pedro, La Laguna." After we were already in Guatemala, and were trying to figure out where we were headed next, we noticed that the address said Santa Cruz. However, after some trouble, we realized that the house was in Tzunana. Right off the bat, this felt mis-leading. The owner said that the description said Tzunana, but not knowing the area, we relied heavily on the title of the property that very specifically stated it was in San Pedro! The……

“Do not book here. Literally no customer service. Signs are not clear on where the hotel is. The beds are the most uncomfortable beds ever. You’re better off sleeping in a hostel for cheaper. There’s two night clubs that blast music all night; which is what was expected. But the clubs were super lame overall. You’re pretty much in a room with a double bed and that’s all to it. “Great property. Quiet, quaint, and peaceful. My only recommendations for improvement would be to do a contactless check-in like Casa Lobo. This would save time for both the management/owners and any potential guests. Then people can just check-in with a special pinpad or lockbox. Especially since the doorbell is not working anyways. The Treehouse could also probably use some new blankets, pillows, and sheets as even after going through the laundry it still smelled like the prior guest. A couple……
