“They were unaware that I had booked the room and were going to cancel my reservation. Being in a foreign country this would have left me in a very unsafe scenario. The staff eventually agreed to let us stay and prepared the room. They made us breakfast the following day which was delicious. The room did not have a garbage and no soap was available at the time of check in. Overall would not go back given the cost of the room.”

“Hallo, das Hotel ist sehr heruntergekommen und entspricht keineswegs der Beschreibung. Weder das Zimmer noch die Terrasse war geputzt, der Strand ist sehr dreckig und Wifi gibt es auch keines wie es aus der Beschreibung hervor geht. ”

“The overall experience improved during the stay but the hotel reception didn’t even know we were booked and calls had to be made to the manager to confirm the online booking. We were unable to contact the hotel directly (the advice given on the Expedia website) for our late arrival as the landline number was not working. There was no coffee available for breakfast on the first morning ( a basic ) and were forced to go out to a nearby cafe. We had to ask for hot water in the room for a shower as……

“The hostel is located off of the main road and outside of downtown. It's cheap, clean, and the staff are polite, but it isn't very convenient. Also they advertise free breakfast but do not provide one. They have hot water for tea and then send you up the street to the local store to buy bread, as that's the only thing available to eat in the store. ”

“Great personal attention. The flight was 3 hours late so did not get to Shine until about 3 AM. They had left the light on and were waiting for us. Made sure we were well taken care of. It is located a little ways off the main road from the airport to Kampala. If you do not need to stay in Kampala, it is a great retreat.”

“Staff was great but there is no wifi but they will say it's broken do not do the barwa experience fake and stupid”
