“Great location close to centre. Could park for free outside property which was a real plus. Love the way place is decorated. Very comfortable large room, good bathroom and kitchen area. We had ground floor Maddox room and we found there was very little noise from Asda/outside. The only noise is the creaking floorboards from the upstairs room but then it is a very old building was part of the quirkiness of the place. The noise issue is made very clear before booking and wasn’t a real issue for……

“When we arrived a notice said we could order logs for the hot tub but on contacting the person he was away until the following week so a bit disappointing Also it stated shampoo body wash etc would be available but we had nothing The overall experience was brilliant just a couple of little tweaks needed ”

“Was informed 3 days before stay that we would be staying in a different house to listing, which for us was ok. Clean bedding, comfortable beds. However the house although wasn't filthy it wasn't clean. The whole place looked like a family had just "popped out". Clothes hanging on doors, shoes left where they had just taken them off, generally a untidy house.”

“I have stayed here on a number of occasions and enjoy its seeming remoteness, but particularly the quietness. It is very basic but comfortable.”

Messages on the app that i didnt know i needed.Travelled almost 2 hours in poor weather conditions with a toddler, to phone the place and the ‘office be closed’. Phoned help line which is in india who just kept telling me to wait 1 hour. 3 times!!! ”

“Very relaxed stay in a cute accommodation - perfect for a couple nights away. Checking in and out was very good. Only improvements would be that the hair dryer was missing, and the animals kept me awake all night. Other than that, the stay was amazing and would definitely come again.”
