“Good room”

“The reception girl was cheerful and helpful. The room was clean and spacious, and had an electric blanket for all beds. There was also a grocery store nearby selling cooked rice and fried rice. So lucky to have this grocery store opened till late during the xmas day!”

“Arrived late after noon. The owner was most helpful as we needed directions. Room was good with a brilliant view of Burnie Harbour. Breakfast we sat with the owners. We talked and talked until we realised we needed to move on to our next destination.”

“Great location in Burnie. Lovely licensed bistro and Maccas easy for brekkie. Good parking. Hotel has been somewhat renovated with double glazing so the Port noise is hardly discernible. Corridor doors need work as there were some very noisy port workers coming in late. On site laundry was a bonus. Staff lovely.”

“We stayed at "Philpotts" for 2 nights and the houses were beautifully furnished and had a garden full of different plants. The landlord was very attentive and provided a rich breakfast to us. Look forward to staying again in the near future.”
