“We received a text from Stefano a couple hours before our arrival with directions and letting us know we could arrive anytime. He met us at the house and did a very good job showing us the property and giving instructions on a few things. He also gave us dining and touring recommendations that all turned out to be great. The house is very old not in a bad way in a cool way. Everything worked and it was very clean. We were able to walk to a different restaurant 5 nights in a row and there……

“This is a lovely property. Plenty of room. Well equipped with everything you need. The courtyard is a beautiful place for breakfast in the morning and wine in the evening. The flowers planted in the courtyard are beautiful. Please be aware that you must be able to walk up steep hills to get to this property. Of course, pretty much anywhere you go in Cortona is a hill.”

“Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen, leider waren zu diesem Zeitpunkt sehr vielen Moskitos da, hier hat der Eigentümer sehr kulant reagiert und und früher abreisen lassen, mit Kostenerstattung. Vielen Dank nochmals hierfür, mir ist bewußt, dass dieses keine Selbstverständlichkeit ist. ”

Abbiamo sentito solo la mancanza dell’aria condizionata perché abbiamo soggiornato nella settimana più calda dell’estate ”

It was exactly as described and we loved the location. Only downside is parking. If you have a car, you will be lugging your luggage uphill for a good ways from the parking area. ”

“Villa Calcinaio was a beautiful place to spend our time while in Cortona. My goal was to get a slice of Tuscan life and this house gave me the opportunity to do just that. It was rustic but charming and updated ~20 years ago. Enrico was very responsive and even came to our rescue when we had trouble locating the house on the dark and rainy night when we arrived.
