“This is such a great place to stay!! Clean and cozy, the property is close to downtown and has beautiful views. We saw lots of deer in the mornings roaming in the backyard. The bed was super comfortable and the recliners were absolute heaven. Elkin is such a fun town with lots to do. Shelton winery was our favorite stop of The Vine Line wine tour. Check out the local farmers market Saturday morning, definitely worth it. Southern on Main had the best dinner and the Railyard was suxh a great spot……

“My husband and I stayed for a week. The cottage has great scenery and it was lovely walking on the property. It was incredibly peaceful on rainy days, and the stars were breath taking on clear nights. The owner was kind enough to volunteer bringing in an AC unit for unseasonably warm nights. I found him very easy to reach out to, while otherwise we had a lot of privacy. The kitchen had everything needed for grilling, microwaving, and simple food prep. “This place was perfect for our short stay and visit to Emerald Hollow Gem Mine. Great lake view and screened in porch to enjoy the setting.Not super close to a grocery store or other entertainment options. But a good place for a more quiet getaway on a lake. The check in process was a little clunky as we were given the wrong codes for the key lock box and electronic dead bolt. Owner was quick to respond and connect us with someone who had the right codes. My miss but there is no oven only a……
