“Einmalige Natur rundherum. Ein uriges Haus mit Charakter in einem abgelegenen Naturschutzgebiet am Seitenarm von Sognofjord. Hinter dem Haus - ein Zauberwald mit Eierschwammerln und Blaubeeren. Ein schöner Wanderweg führt auf den Blaubeerberg in der Nähe. Die Anreise ist nur mit dem kleinen Boot möglich und dauert eine knappe Stunde von Vik. Die Wellen am Fjord können spürbar sein, daher Wetter Bedingungen eruieren. ”

Die kleine Naerbuttik im Ort hat zwar begrenzte Öffnungszeiten, deckt aber den Grundbedarf ab. Im 45 Minuten entfernten Bjordal gibt es einen etwas größeren "Joker" - größere Supermärkte finden sich in Hoyanger oder Vikeroy, die man per Fähre erreicht . Vom……

“Our week in Viksdalen was unforgettable. The location is absolutely stunning—quiet, peaceful, and surrounded by natural beauty. The house was perfect for our two families, offering plenty of space and comfort. Everything was spotless, and the sound of the nearby waterfall added such a special charm. Torunn and Lars Egil were wonderful hosts—very welcoming and helpful. We especially loved relaxing in the hot tub each evening, taking in the majestic views. The home was also conveniently located……

“A nice old house with enough space for us to stay. The house is old, but has everything you need to stay (although the washing machine is old, small and has low spinning so it takes some time to dry) and the wifi is poor. Lot's of opportunities for hiking in the area, and also to go with the ferry to the other side. The house is in Ortnevik (we thought it was in Bjordal) at the end of a road. Joar is a very friendly and helpfull guy, and is easy to reach. We recommend this house for a stay.”

“Five stars is not enough for the stone cabin in Ortnevik! The one bedroom cabin is so charming. The kitchen has everything you will need to prepare meals and the bed is comfortable. The property is incredibly beautiful and there are interesting hikes right from the cabin. Just a quick walk away you’ll find an amazing wood sculpture garden that will blow your mind. Eldar was very helpful with check in and with advice on where to hike and walk. The small store in town has limited hours but a……
