Telemark 8 by Mountain Vacation Lodging is an updated townhome with good quality throughout, a very convenient location, ski mountain views, a flexible bedding situation, and a seasonal pool. The townhome is less than 100 meters from a stop serviced by two of Vail's free bus line, which makes getting to and from the ski lifts, activities, shops, and restaurants fast and easy. Please read on for more details.

The Property:
The living room features matching leather furniture, a warm fireplace, wall mounted HDTV, and vaulted ceilings. With two sofas plus two recliners, there is plenty of comfy seating for groups large or small. Off the living room is a partially covered deck which includes a gas BBQ grill and views of the Vail Resort ski slopes and national forest. The kitchen and dining room are open to the living room and have some great features too. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need plus some extras too. The counter tops are stainless steel, unique and beautiful. They combine with the high quality cabinetry and open floating shelves to create a unique and fun kitchen space. You'll find hardwood floors throughout the kitchen and dining area, which seats 6 at a round table that is ideal place to gather your group for breakfast, dinner, or maybe some cards or board games.

Bedroom 1 is upstairs and like the living room, features vaulted ceilings. It has a King size bed facing a wall mounted HDTV. A beautiful barn door separates the bedroom from the bathroom, where soft carpet gives way to beautiful tile floors. The vanity has dual sinks and a Spanish tile that complements the stained glass window. This ensuite bathroom is a full bathroom with a bathtub/shower combo.

Bedroom 2 is downstairs. Like bedroom 1, it has a good size to it. There is a Queen size bed as well as a Twin over Twin bunk bed. With this bed setup, the bedroom work well for one couple, a couple with kids, or up to 4 people. The lower level includes a front loading washer and dryer within a full bathroom that has been updated to include a new vanity and a bathtub shower combo with beautiful travertine tile. From bedroom 2, you can walk out back and down a few steps to the pool area.

Location:
The Telemark Townhomes have a very convenient and attractive location that is close to Lionshead Village. Local Joe's Pizza is a short walk down the hill and Red Sandstone Park offers a playground for kids within easy walking distance as well. In pleasant weather, some may enjoy walking past the park and across the pedestrian bridge directly into Lionshead Village. It's about 12 minutes to Lionshead proper and about 20 minutes to the Eagle Bahn Gondola. Of course you don't have to walk, since there are 3 bus lines in very close proximity, all of which offer very quick and direct routes. The Lionsridge Loop and Sandstone Loop pick up and drop off about 75 meters from the townhome, and the West Vail Red picks up and drops off about 150 meters from the townhome. All of these routes offer quick easy rides to Lionshead, Vail Village, Ford Park, and West Vail shopping centers, including both grocery stores. When you stay here, getting around Vail is easy, no car necessary.

Arrival, Access, and Parking:
Once you book, we're here to support you. We offer professional concierge services, provide you with arrival instructions, and answers to any specific questions you might have. Accessing this property does require going down a half flight of stairs to the front door. Parking is outdoor and uncovered. Spaces are reserved for those staying at the townhomes, but are not assigned to any one unit, and are available on a first come first served basis. Please note, trailers are not allowed, per HOA rules and regulations.

** Air Conditioning - Most mountain resort properties were not built with air conditioning. During most hours of the day and weeks of the year, AC is not needed. Summer nights are cool and fans are provided at most properties. Check the average high and low temperatures and weather forecast for your dates of travel, and look at the list of amenities to see if AC or fans are part of the rental property and look for ceiling fans in photos.
** Group Sizes, High Occupancy Fees, & Maximum Occupancy - Some properties use a “High Occupancy Fee” to “raise the rate” for larger groups, and are thus able to list a lower nightly rate for smaller groups. Each rental agreement and associated rates are for a specific group size. Guests must enter the correct and maximum group size at the time of booking. The agreement requires a guest to confirm the group size and subsequently, to disclose any changes to the planned group size, which may result in an increase, or decrease, to the total cost, and may result in a security deposit becoming required.
** Video & Noise Monitoring - Please note that noise monitoring devices, and security cameras, do exist on the exterior of the property. Cameras are positioned to cover all entrances and exits of the home. Cameras are present to ensure the property remains secure and safe, as well as to ensure that guests are honest and upfront about their planned use of the property. If you plan to bring more people than you've indicated, more dogs than indicated, to host a party or event, or do not intend to respect neighbors or the value and quality of the property, then this is not the place for you, and you should not book the property. Very comfortable stay for the four of us. My wife and I stayed for two weeks with my son and grandson joining us for five nights. Excellent setup for separate en-suite bath/br sharing between first and third floors of the condo allowing for private sleeping arrangements. Good sized kitchen for sharing meals and comfortable den for hanging out. Location for skiing is excellent! Short walk to free bus stop, 10 minute ride to transportation center, base of Vail village. Sandstone bus comes every 20 minutes during peak times. Easy return as well. 20 minutes from getting on the bus to getting on the chair lift! Grill was useful and kitchen was adequately equipped. Could have used a couple more pans for cooking. Would stay here again and recommend for up to 6 people if you don’t mind sharing a bed next to the bunk bed, worked great for us. Master bed/bath on third floor was comfortable.

The condo was spacious, clean and comfortable. Location was very close to a bus stop making travel into Vail very easy. Beds were comfortable. The kitchen was very easy to prepare meals in. Living room furniture was extremely comfortable. It was very warm and we could not turn down the heat, even with all the zone thermostats set as low as they could go. No dishwasher tabs but we were able to borrow some from a friend. All in all I would recommend this property, it suited our needs for a ski vacation very well. Though some neighbors were a bit suspect - caught one peeing right outside our door one night, and another night pot smoke was wafting in…

The unit worked very well for us. It is a split level, master bedroom upstairs with a King, large living room with fireplace and flat screen TV, two sofas and two recliners one half floor down. Another half flight down is the eat in kitchen very comfortable for 6, and another bedroom with bath and laundry on the bottom - one queen and two bunks. We cooked two dinners in the well equipped kitchen.

The management team that handles this property is 10/10. We had a few issues upon arrival and they were addressed immediately. Some minor updates to the furniture and kitchen utensils could be nice, however, in the grand scheme the kitchen was very well stocked and the beds and furniture were comfortable. The towels and linens were very nice and everything was clean upon arrival. The main living area, kitchen and upstairs bedroom were very warm in the afternoons/evenings (in late August), but there are fans provided by the owners to help. Added seating on the patio would be a nice touch and parents with crawling babies and toddlers should note there are three flights of stairs and a flight to access the front door. Location is fantastic - short drive or shuttle ride into town and very close to grocery stores. Overall a very nice place to stay!

We decided to come up from the sweltering heat of the Southeast and enjoy a week in the mountains. The property was great for our Family of 4 with two smaller children. Easy walk to the bus stop and ride into town. Quiet and clean with two designated parking spots made it a great base camp. The layout was perfect with the living room open and spacious so the girls could play. Kitchen was well stocked with spices, etc. The wife has already decided we will be coming back to Vail every summer. Only critical thing I could say is the walkway was a little over grown with weeds and plants, but this maybe on the apartments and not on the owners.

One of my favorite condos I have ever stayed in! I haven’t been to Vail in 20 years and we found a gem! I love the layout of the condo, it seems larger in person than the photos. The leather recliners were amazing after 7 hours of snowboarding…. We didn’t cook much but they seem to have everything you would need. The beds were very comfortable- we slept great! You will not be cold in this condo! We turned the heat down as far as it would go and it was still very comfortable! I even opened the window on the second floor at night! Condo is right by the free bus-however we drove ourselves to Lionheads parking garage-only because when I’m done-I’m really done and need to not wait. But it did seem like the buses were everywhere and waiting wasn’t normal. Condo was clean, comfortable, and felt like home. We didn’t use the fireplace but I do love wood fireplaces- we just didn’t have energy to even do that. The layout is awesome, master bedroom up top and 2nd bedroom on the basement. Main living in the middle. Condo was very quiet and a 4 minute drive to town. It’s really the perfect spot to be close to but out the chaos of town. Also, the management company let us in an hour before check in which was very kind of them. We were early and just wanted to dump all our stuff before grabbing some groceries. The lady I talked to was wonderful! Great deal for what the condo is-especially for “high price Vail!”

Super nice, updated property with comfortable beds walking distance to the Lionheads base (or a short bus ride). Condo also comes has 2 parking which makes for easy access to both Vail buses if you don't want to walk or take the bus. Beaver Creek is also only 20 mins down the road.
