As soon as I checked in, there was a strong, unpleasant smell, and the floor was still wet. I immediately requested a room change, which they accommodated, but the new room had the same odor. I didn’t want to ask for another change, so I just stayed, but it seemed like the smell came from dirty mop water mixed with bleach.
The location was decent, and overall, the hotel was fine, but their response to this odor issue was disappointing. Also, as an Expedia Gold member, I was supposed to receive vip benefits, but there was no mention of this at check-in.
The rooftop bar had a great night view, but they only served drinks—no snacks—and it closed at 11:00 pm, so I’d recommend going early. Drinks were slightly pricier than nearby restaurants, but the atmosphere was nice. Overall, a few aspects were underwhelming.
