This was my second time staying at Delta in Burnaby. I decided to give them another chance after a less-than-pleasant first stay, but I regret that decision. While the hotel staff was kind, the rooms left much to be desired.
First, the bed situation was misleading—the “queen” bed felt more like a double, making it much smaller than expected. The bathroom was also poorly designed; the toilet was too close to the shower and sink, making the space feel cramped. The shower faucet sprayed water everywhere, and worst of all, cleanliness was a major issue. The shower appeared unwashed, with hair on the walls and clogged drains that barely allowed water to flow. The sink was also dirty, and there was no hand soap provided.
Amenities were lacking as well. Despite booking a room for three people, only two bath towels and two hand towels were provided. The sheets had a strange smell, though they weren’t visibly dirty.
Another major concern was parking. During my first stay, someone hit my car and left without leaving their information. The hotel and casino security cameras didn’t capture the impact, even though footage showed the car parked suspiciously close to mine.
Overall, I wouldn’t stay here again. If you do, be cautious about where you park and inspect your room thoroughly upon arrival. If cleanliness is an issue, address it with staff immediately.
