The place was wonderful. Modern but artistically themed and very clean. A lot of thought was put into the decor. The neighborhood is pretty bad but the hotel was grest as was the staff. Only quibble. There is a pretty loud plumbing noise coming from the bathroom when others flush, I was ok with ear plugs but this is an issue. Thanks

Unser Zimmer selbst war schön eingerichtet und sauber. Das Hotel insgesamt war auch ordentlich und wir hatten immer freundliches Personal! Das Frühstück ist sehr einfach, aber für einen kurzen Aufenthalt auch total in Ordnung. Für die künftiges Besucher möchte ich nur anmerken, dass die Umgebung nicht unmittelbar das klassische Downtown Bild widerspiegelt und leider zur weniger schönen Seite Vancouvers gehört. Wenn man darauf Wert legt, sollte man seine Wahl überdenken. Anderenfalls hat man mit diesem Hotel eine praktische Lösung. Man kommt trotzdem überall gut hin.

I was looking forward to staying at this property because of its mission to support indigenous artists and the onsite gift shop where you could purchase their creations. However, I found that the reality did not match the pictures I saw online. The gift shop only consisted of a few t-shirts and wall art for sale. While the hotel does house artists, it functions more like a cooperative than a dedicated program. I understand that the hotel has limited control over this, but I was shocked and taken aback by the concentration of the unhoused who were actively dealing and using near the hotel. They seemed harmless, but it was a troubling sight for those who weren’t accustomed to it. On a positive note, the room and accommodations themselves were nice, clean, and comfortable. Good in-room Coffee too!

Nice little boutique place to stay, staff very friendly and helpful. The area of the hotel is a little shady with many undesirables around. Never felt unsafe but had to be guarded when walking. Restaurants were 20-30 mins by walking. We took Uber’s everywhere.

Overall good condition. Unique and antique while preserving local culture. God staff and friendly. Water pressure sauna and patio were only concerns. Located near Hasting street. Do your research in advance.

Heart of downtown Vancouver with great access to good food. As many mentioned a-lot of substance abuse and homelessness but don’t let that stop you from staying at this great hotel!

Loved the uniqueness of this hotel with the First Nations art throughout and featured artists in gallery on 1st floor. Convenient location to walk everywhere. Spacious double beds room. Included breakfast is very basic. Front desk staff very helpful including restaurant recommendation in Chinatown that we enjoyed. Would stay here again.

Positives - staff extremely helpful. Really comfy bed, pillows etc. Bathroom spotlessly clean, lovely bathrobes. Negatives - breakfast poor. Only cereal was porridge, only drink was coffee, no toast. So it was croissant or muffins and an apple. No vending machine to get a drink or snack. Also the area of the hotel is inundated with homeless people the majority seemingly under the influence which made it very unpleasant to walk anywhere.

This was the view from our room of the apartment block next door.

I loved this hotel. It was a real surprise, given some of the things we had seen on the way to it. Part indigenous art gallery, part hotel, withe a philosophy that supports the first nations population. We were welcomed by Scarlet, who toĺd us about the hotel and some popular restaurants. Our room was on the top floor and was attractively decorated with indigenous art, and was comfortably furnished. The en-suite was supplied with some pleasant herbal toiletries. We hadn't expected breakfast, but the hotel provided a light buffet anyway. We took the advice of our host and went to "The Old Spaghetti Factory" for dinner and had a great time. One piece of advice for unsuspecting travellers I wold give is; When leaving the hotel, don't turn left towards Main St. Turn right, then right down Abbot St. This will take you to Gastown, which is a lot nicer experience.
