Loved the location. Only a few minutes walk away from most busses/ ferries and the waterfront park area.
Staff was great and service is very good. Our room was on 8th floor and the restaurant is on 9th. Apparently they have 0 carpeting/ noise insulation because we can hear all the chair moves and heels steps upstairs until bar closed around midnight. In the morning, we were greeted with drilling at noon. On normal days we would go out in the day time, but having traveled back from +12hrs, jet lag kept us in property. Cannot sleep or rest with the excessive noise.
Asked to move room, and the staff were nice enough to offer 7th floor free of charge. We would have stayed for the duration if management was service-oriented enough to provide some additional accommodations or credit. Instead, we were rushed to leave our room 3 times because house keeping need the room at 1p.m to clean for 3p.m check ins, which makes no sense as the rooms were tiny. Pushed back and got extended for 1:30. No apologies from management for the inconvenience, no apologies for the noise, not even free breakfast to compensate for us having to deal with jet lag and grumpy 4-yr-old. Got out as fast as we could and asked for refund for the last day, which was approved.
We would have stayed the full trip if they were a bit more proactive, but unfortunately management doesn't care enough to empathize with guests when the summer traffic to this area is ludicrous.
