“Thorsteinn was great at answering our many questions - very quick getting back to us as we had some issues with the sauna and hot tub but managed to get them going in the end. Lovely host, lovely property. ”

“We had the best 5 nights at Versalir, perfect location for adventuring around the southern part of the island - essentially an hour drive to everything you could want. The cabin is SO warm and welcoming and hosts friendly and helpful. The pictures on the listing are a little outdated - the shower room has been modernised for example, but if anything it is better than shown. Can’t wait to return!”

“Beautiful, spacious apartment with comfortable beds. Walking distance to places to eat and shop. Host had left some useful maps for the town in the kitchen.”

“We have really enjoyed our week just outside Selfoss. The cabin was cosy and equipped with all the essentials, and an excellent base to explore southern Iceland from. We even got to see the Northern Lights from just outside the cabin! Petra was an accessible, friendly and super helpful host, she kindly went above and beyond to help us when our flight was cancelled due to a bad storm. We would highly recommend!”

“Beautiful property with fantastic views, we saw the northern lights from the balcony while we were there!! It had everything we could have possibly needed, the host was lovely and very helpful, he responded quickly when we found we didn’t have the code to get in to ensure we weren’t stranded outside, it was a lovely place to stay and I’d certainly book again in the future”

“We chose this cabin for the cosy part of our winter trip to Iceland. We had the perfect time: aurora borealis dancing over the sky, while we were soaking in the hot pot, lake and mountains covered in snow. The house is so nicely designed, so cosy and lovely. I enjoyed my morning coffee(s) in front of the fire place, reading, while the rest of the family was still sleeping. Check- in and -out is super easy, Natalia, the local cabin manager, is very responsive and helpful, if you don't find or……

“We stayed four nights here in January 2025. Had a wonderful time. Photos are accurate, and kitchen is well stocked. It feels like staying at a friend’s cabin. We caught the northern lights two out of four nights. It’s a great base location to explore the Golden Circle sights. Vista I’m from the porch is spectacular. We had a great time there and would definitely go back. ”

“Cute, small, basic cabin. Bedrooms are pretty tight and not much space for storage. Bathroom is very small and shower seemed to have some drainage challenges. Hot tub was plenty hot. The local dog, Snorta, is super friendly and fun to have come greet you. Local town was grocery, gas and a few places to eat. It worked well for 4 of us - more than 4 would be pretty tight. ”

“Loved the place! Super great location and setup. I was disappointed not all the bed had sheets and they forgot to give us a crib. Owner was quick to fix it. The gate is annoying, but it is an all of Iceland thing”
