“Ex-communist palace, so nice big bathtub for decadent soaking for up to three, with lashings of hot water. Breakfast OK but a little variable, depending on number of guests. Superb barman but likely to be leaving soon, as way too good for that place. Good value. Very nice views over park, monument and river. Friendly reception and breakfast room staff. Watch out for miserable staff and possible rip-offs in the Mechana (sort of rustic, Bulgarian-themed restaurant). Food was OK and chef was……

“Arrived hereoretty late and nobody picked up the phone to let us in. Eventually tracked down someone and they said it was full. I showed the reservation and they said they did not do third part bookings They saw that the price I paid was noticeably lower than thir rates and laughed in my face and left me to go fend for myself and find another spot last minute. ”
