I recently stayed at Ca’ di Dio, Venice for my 50th birthday. The hotel itself is absolutely beautiful, elegant, and peaceful, perfect for a relaxing stay away from the crowds. It’s in a great location, right next to the Arsenale water taxi stop, making it easy to get around (about 40 minutes from the airport).
The Highlights:
• Tranquil, grown-up atmosphere – Ideal for those looking for peace and quiet rather than a lively setting.
• Excellent location – Away from the busiest tourist areas but still very convenient.
• Good breakfast – A great selection catering to all dietary needs.
• Lovely amenities – A small gym and spa, plus a beautiful garden and quiet library for relaxing.
• Spacious suite (Room 105) – Our room faced a building site and the canal below. There were higher-floor rooms available, but at an extra cost. The other room option faced a wall, so we stayed in our original suite. At €600 per night for three more nights, paying even more for an upgrade didn’t seem worth it. The noise wasn’t an issue—just the boats on the canal from around 7:30 AM.
