This was a brand new property and we were excited to stay in a new hotel. The staff was wonderful…they couldn’t have been nicer. However, the property was not ready to be open. There was construction dirt and trash still all around the property. We had to talk to the front desk about adjusting the thermostat in our room. It took two days to get the temperature to go down a couple of degrees. There was a light above our shower that was falling out of the ceiling. The fitness center was wonderfully well equipped and a great size, but the motion sensor light kept going off, so I worked out in the dark for over an hour at a time. While the breakfast buffet was good, the dinner restaurant was not operational and the hotel did not have a liquor license yet. My other complaint would be that it’s not walkable to many places. A suggestion would be to have a hotel shuttle to take people to a main center of town where they can get around, although there was a water taxi port not very far away. If you’ve been to Venice, however, you know that water taxi service can be confusing and not always dependable.
