“Wir waren für vier Tage mit zwei Personen in diesem Zimmer mit Küchenecke und Dusche/WC. Das Zimmer und die Außenanlage befinden sich noch im Aufbau. Die Inneneinrichtung der Unterkunft ist dementsprechend neu und ausreichend. Die Dusche/WC und eine Abstellkammer mit Kleiderschrank und Waschmaschine waren vom Wohnbereich durch einen Vorhang abgetrennt. Vermutlich wird die Tür in nächster Zeit eingebaut. Uns hat es letztendlich nicht gestört. Schön wäre es, wenn man die Glaseingangstüre abends……

“Die Wohnung ist geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Die kleine Küchenzeile ist für einen kurzen Aufenthalt ausgestattet. Die Betten/ Ausziehsofa waren gut. Das Bad war geräumig und funktional. Für einen kurzen Aufenthalt gut geeignet, da man schnell zu Fuß in der Innenstadt ist und nach einer kurzen Autofahrt bei den Sehenswürdigkeiten der Umgebung. Sehr zu empfehlen ist das 2016 neu eröffnete Mémorial sowie die interaktive Ausstellung mit VR-Brillen Experience in der Citadelle Souterraine!”

“Just returned from a wonderful stay at Chez Mathilde near Verdun. Annie, our host, was absolutely lovely — so welcoming and friendly, and she even treated us to delicious homemade goodies. The house itself was amazing, full of character with beautiful traditional features and immaculate furnishings throughout. It really felt like a home away from home. The area is fantastic too, with so much history to explore, especially the WWI sites nearby. We’d highly recommend Chez Mathilde to anyone……
