The room was very economical and convenient for a function we were attending. The room was very spacious and clean. We rented a king room, but it was more like a suite and very large, so was very happy with that. The breakfast was nothing special, but coffee and a piece of toast was all I was interested in, which were fine. The only item that wasn't great, and I had noted in other reviews, was the fact that the building is wood construction, so the floors squeak and there was one or two trains passing by. But that bit of noise did not bother us, given that the hotel across the parking lot was over a hundred dollars more at night. I would definitely stay again.

The Meridian was a very clean and quiet property. The breakfast hours are 5-9 am. We have had breakfast there on a previous visit and it was great. Wish it was until 10 am. There appear to be several construction workers staying in the hotel so I am sure they appreciate the breakfast hours. Easy accessible to diners and malls. Great location! Next to highway 16. The property is handicap accessible. However there are no walk-in showers.

It sounded like there were mice in the walls of our room in the wee hours of the night. Also, mildew around the tub, large dark stains in the toilet bowl, sofa in suite was full of food under the cushions, bedskirt on bed dragging on the floor, hallways on second floor not vacuumed. Footsteps from up above our room sounded like a water buffalo lived up there - very loud and heavy. Second night we heard tapping in hallway doors several times. Very difficult to get settled.

We were pleasantly surprised with this hotel. It was affordable, clean, nice bright rooms with comfortable bed, a complimentary continental breakfast. Considering our stay was 7 nights, we found that the housekeeping services offered were sparse to say the least. Although the hotel was quick to offer whatever needed to be replaced or replenished when requested. There is not a restaurant in the hotel, however there is lots of nearby shopping and dinning options within a few minutes walk. Overall I would give this hotel a 41/2 stars and DO NOT expect the Ritz Carleton, however do expect a pleasant stay.

The room was clean and well cared. I wish it had a clock on the wall to keep track of time - not to miss the check-out time (I did not miss it). One sneaky policy by the hotel that I disapprove is that the breakfast time was up untill 9:00 am! I think they did so to minimize the number of guests who make it to have the "free" breakfast included in the price.
