Rooms were very outdated and shabby, although seemed somewhat clean. The beds were very firm, too firm in my opinion - and I normally like a firm bed. Parking was not great. The main lot fills up very quickly. They have an overflow lot but it’s an awkward shape and they have many large vans/trucks parked in there so it’s very easy to get stuck, don’t ask me how I know… Location of the hotel was pretty convenient. Close to lots of restaurants and coffee shops etc…

The property is located close to a couple of shopping malls, one of them very walkable. It is also a short drive to downtown Victoria. They are undergoing some exterior renovations which causes a little bit of a hassle. Parking in the lower lot forces you to walk upstairs or around the entire buildin in order to get to the the entrance. We found people smoking on the street side almost everytime we walked by. There was a private event in the lounge one night which forced us to park in the overflow lot. Not inconvenient for us, but we did see someone with a truck struggling to get out.

Very clean room and beds were comfy. The front staff were very helpful. Our room was located over the front entrance of the hotel. Unfortunately all the smokers were below our window. Very central to Uptown mall.

We had car trouble and couldn’t make it to Victoria on the day booked. As we don’t live in the province, it wasn’t possible for us to come back. The manager was so supportive and kind. He understood our problem and ended up giving the full refund. It was amazing to see such customer service in the current times. If we ever plan a trip again, we are staying at Red Lion for sure.

We chose the Inn for its convenient location for the activities we wanted to do in Victoria and Langford. We do recommend going out to Beacon Hill Park and taking a drive along Beach Drive. Plenty of parking spaces there to get out and walk along the many paths. Also, a must is to stop in Oak Bay for the best ice cream at the Parachute Ice Cream.

The staff was friendly. Check-in and check-out went smoothly. The room was a little cramped for four people, but fine for one night's stay. The parking is a little congested having a liquor store right next door.
