I was asking a taxi from the hotel to airport. They offered me to take the hotel transfer which cost me 10Usd. As everyone know, the stardard rate for a taxi from airport to town cost only 7usd, so i ask if they can help me to book a taxi. The reception staff ask me to look for a taxi number MySELF and they help me call. WHAT!? Is it possible a five star hotel not having a taxi company number ? Tell your boss it's not the correct way to do business which make your guest feel uncomfortable ! More funny thing, i told them i will just took the tuktuk around corner to the airport, and they suddenly offer me a discount and charge me only 8 usd! WHAT!? i have to bargain the price for a airport transfer even at a hotel. So funny experience .

Every thing is nice and clean, and also great services. The only downside is just that the lower floors can hear noises from the street.

The rooms were clean and the staff were polite, so there were no problems. It is in the center of town and there are various restaurants nearby. The breakfast was also very tasty and good. The toothbrushes provided as amenities were made of wood, which gave a sense of ethnic culture, but were difficult to use. The quality of the shampoo and conditioner was not very good. It was a hotel that I was generally satisfied with.

Unser Zimmer war eher klein aber sauber. Für ein Zimmer in einem 5-Sterne Hotel hätte ich ein grösseres Zimmer erwartet. Positiv waren: - ausgewogenes Morgenbuffet (von Brot darf man aber nicht zuviel erwarten) - zentrale Lage, nur ein paar Minuten von der Uferpromenade entfernt - hilfreiches Personal Eher negativ waren: - Kaffee und Wasserkocher waren vorhanden aber kein Wasser (auch an zweiten Tag nicht) - keine Karten von Vientiane (kenne ich aus anderen Hotels, dass das immer eine Menge Informationsmaterial ausgelegt ist, hier aber nicht) - die Klima-Anlage haben wir bis zum Schluss nicht richtig hingekriegt. Die ist unglücklicherweise so positioniert, dass der kalte Luftstrom direkt auf die Köpfe der Schlafenden fällt) Alles in allem sind es wohl eher 3.5 als 4 Punkte.

The location of this hotel is perfect! Very central and in a very busy eatery / bar eara just off from night market and Mekong river restaurants. My room had the most comfortable bed in my 2 week journey through Laos and a very generous shower space. I had the total delight of bring very gently woken by monks chanting their gratitude as morning alms took place. I am a light sleeper but you could easily sleep through this if Wats and monastry are not your thing. The service overall ( laundry, restaurant, housekeeping and front desk were all extremely good and staff are very engaging, there is a really nice 'vibe' at this place and the breakfasts are plentiful, tasteful and most thoroughly enjoyed. Overall a 2 night stay that I would absolutley return to and recommend!
