“My family of 6 and I stayed here for the Thanksgiving holiday. My 80 yr old parents live in Southampton but we decided to rent instead of burdening them w/guests. “We stayed at the Villiage gem for a fortnight and it was lovely. The house is a typical Hamptons cedar cottage and has a lot of charm. It’s a great location south of the highway and easy walk from the LIRR. “I arrived way after hours very nervous when I saw the office closed for check-in, and then to the right of the front door was an envelope with my name on it and my room key. “I was really impressed with the modern, clean room. I loved the sliding barn door..clean, white bedding & refillable soap & shampoo & conditioner. No more little plastic bottles that never hold enough to even wash one person’s hair. I also lined the separate reading lights. The gentleman checking us in was pleasant and it took a very short time. I would definitely consider another visit next time I am visiting the North Fork of Long Island.”
