The view is beautiful, you are seconds from the beach and all stores and food. Restaurant is right downstairs if you didn't want to leave the hotel. Room was clean and staff was friendly.

We got there and they added a $50 "resort fee" which was not mentioned on the website at all and the website said "The price you see is what you pay" "Total includes taxes and fees". We brought it to their attention that it was against the law to falsely advertise and they reimbursed us before we left. Some other vacationer was told the fee was for a parking fee. And most of the parking was across the street which was frustrating for luggage and safety for our kids. The whole area was not family friendly. Va beach has changed too much. Opened up the patio door and all we smelled is weed 50% of the time. There was a drunk guy throwing brochures everywhere. The restaurant below played loud music both nights 11 and 12:30am. I called and no volume was lowered till the 12:30am mark which is breaking the noise law. Somebody pulled the fire alarm at midnight and we all had to exit. My child was crying his head off the whole time. So exhausted from the day already and scared from the alarm. Then I was nervous about sleeping because I wasn't sure some drunk guy would light a fire in the hotel. Electrical was falling off the wall. I didn't like room service going in my room during my stay but there was not a tag to keep them out. The pool smelled so bad with very high levels of chlorine. Pros-some of the staff was ok and by the beach. No bugs in our room that we saw. Saw sunrise. Should of been cheaper since the area didn't seem safe.

Not the 1st time staying in this hotel. Previous years it was more rundown. Now (mid-May 2025) I can see some renovations and improvements have been done. It is cleaner now, but I still noticed worn edges of furniture, or paint peeling from the ceiling and in some other places. The staff was very friendly and efficient. Somehow puzzled why the room did not have cloths hangers and we had to ask for them. It was the same situation about a year ago. Maybe it's a trick to get additional tips... but then it would be strange, because I would rather tip for smooth experience and not having to ask for things that should be in the room in the 1st place. The quantity of soap, shampoo and conditioner are minimal - just 1 of each (another way to get additional tips if asked for these items?). Not a big deal as I travel with my own supplies. Overall good place to stay if on a budget. The door near the reception leading to the Boardwalk had a broken lock. One would be able to exit but would not be able to enter through the same door after scanning their room card. Not sure why it would not be easy to fix this card scanner by the time the tourist season begins. Location is great - just on the boardwalk and looks like all rooms would be facing the Boardwalk/ beach.

The Worst Hotel Experience Ever I rarely leave reviews, but this experience was so bad I felt compelled to warn others. The bathroom was filthy, with visible mold and a strong, unpleasant smell. The carpet looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in ages, and the entire room had a musty odor that made it hard to relax. There was no drinking water provided, no coffee, and overall zero attention to basic guest needs. To make matters worse, my expensive sunglasses went missing during my stay — a truly unacceptable situation. This was, without a doubt, the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. I would not recommend this place to anyone.
