“The staff were all excellent, the room wonderful and the grounds pretty - a great overall sense of quiet and calm I did not like the booking experience with Expedia however - the photo linked with the room I booked was not correct and over-inflated expectation. When the hotel realised they changed the picture and offered us a free upgrade”

“Great overnight stop after a late afternoon train from Folkestone. Plenty of free parking on site. Room are basic but perfectly adequate for a night stop on route to Southern France. Has a kettle and tea and coffee facilities. Nice seating area both inside and out for an evening drink. Had a meal in the restaurant which was delicious and well priced. The bar staff and waitress were attentive and engaging. Good night sleep before heading off for an early start so cannot comment on the……
