“I accidentally left in our room a package that contains all the most important things that one would carry onto the airplane, including extra cash, credit cards, inflatable pillow....etc. When I realized it was no longer with me the next day, I called the owner Julia as my last hope. She picked up the phone right away and told me that she has been so worried for me (she only had my contact information from my home country, not from the US). We drove back to pick up my package. “A nice location away from the hustle and bustle of Kona but within reach of Captain Cook and Volcanoe / Hilo areas. We enjoyed our short stay chilling on the deck and exploring the farm with short drives to 2 step snorkelling and coffee farms and cafes. Nice place to return after a long day of exploring. ”

“This entire experience was nothing short of amazing. At first I was apprehensive to live completely off the grid but after staying here I would definitely do it again. When we first arrived the host met us, gave us an entire tour of his property, including his beautiful animals as well as explaining what it’s like to live off grid. Made us feel right at home as if we had been friends a long time. The home was cozy, it does get a little cold so be prepared. The grill and fire pit was a nice touch……

“This was such a a fun place to stay! We loved all the animal ( geckos, chameleons, and birds). It was also fun to walk the grounds and find fresh fruit! The house was located in a nice spot close to a several hikes and beaches.”

“The yurts are great! The decor is adorable! The host really has all your needs covered and has every little last minute thing you forgot you'd need. We had 5 adults and there was plenty of room! Great view, very private. THIS PLACE WAS PERFECT Thank you John!!!!”

“Dave and Wendy were excellent communicators regarding the check-in and check-out process. The VRBO had everything we needed for cooking, laundry, and escaping from the hustle and bustle of life. It was very convenient to get to Volcanoes National Park and Kona from their location. We loved using the French press coffee maker, enjoying the beautiful backyard view, and being surrounded by the sounds of nature. Stargazing in the backyard was one of our favorite memories at the place! 10/10……

“This property was very clean and well-stocked with many items to make our stay very comfortable. The views are beautiful and we did enjoy a round of golf. It’s not in great shape, but the reviews are stunning! We really enjoyed the outdoor living part of this home. The pool was wonderful to have; however, the listing stated it was heated, but should be clarified to say “solar heated”. We would definitely come back to stay at this property again!”
