The Waitsfield Inn is a beautiful historic New England-style Inn/BnB. The rooms are decorated comfortably, the common areas are warm and inviting, super easy check-in, delicious breakfast (be sure to try the homemade oatmeal!) and an easy drive to ski Sugarbush and Mad River Glen. There are a few restaurants nearby as well. Our family of 4 (2 adults, 1 teen and 1 kid) stayed in one of the family rooms and although we wished we had a bigger bathroom (just a small shower stall), it was all we really needed for a couple days. The room was large, beds comfortable, and really a lovely stay. Thank you so much! We hope to be back on our next visit to the beautiful Mad River Valley!

We really enjoyed our stay at the inn. We came up for the weekend to ski at sugarbush and loved the experience here. The room was very cute, and we had a nice breakfast and coffee downstairs before a day of skiing. There’s also lots of cute shops and restaurants relatively nearby.

Property is really nice and has several shared spaces with cozy sofas to relax. In terms of feed back some of the staff need to have a more formal greeting and introduction of the property features and dynamics. The older gentleman in the property was very attentive and proactive.

Expect to feel at home
Don’t expect a typical hotel experience. Imagine coming home to visit family…you may need to help yourself to a few things and enjoy the common areas as opposed to relaxing in your own space (some rooms are just the bed and no chair or other space), but you feel at home. The breakfast is simple but with good quality options, and the property is clean and historic. There are several nice areas with comfy chairs to sit and read with electric and log fireplaces, and there are clearly posted quiet hours making for a relaxing night. A note for checkin: staff may not be present when you walk in but there is a phone number you can call or text and they will tell you what to do. They may even leave a key with a note for you. We saw some older ladies come in with big suitcases and helped them take their suitcases up to their room since no staff was on hand at the moment.

Fun B & B experience in historical building. Good variety of choices at breakfast. No TV in room but we chatted with others in sitting rooms. We also played shuffleboard.

Lovely two night stay in Waitsfield Inn.
We had a lovely two night stay at The Waitsfield Inn. Our room was delightful, quaint, very clean and comfortable. The rooms downstairs were beautifully furnished and although we did not use them the games room and TV area looked great! We were a little disappointed with breakfast on both days. We came down to breakfast very early on both mornings but unfortunately there was no juice and very little bread for toasting. It would have been nice to have met our host - he did however leave us a welcome note out with our key.
