Our stay at the White Horse Lodge was one of the best we have ever experienced. We were greeted at the door by Dana who showed us to our rooms. There were two groups in our party, and we were originally going to be on separate floors. When she heard us say something about being family, she asked if we wanted to be on the same floor and we said yes if it was possible. She placed us in the Sugarbear room and the Snowflake room across the hall. The rooms were clean and well appointed. Dana made sure we had everything we could need and recommended the best eateries around. We also had the pleasure of meeting her husband, Michael, and their son, Bentley. I can't begin to express what an impressive family she has. I hope if you have the opportunity to stay at The White Horse Lodge that you get the chance to meet them. We can't thank them enough for the wonderful care they took in making our stay top notch. We were treated like family and will certainly recommend it to anyone we know staying in their area and will stay with them again.

This place reminded me of the 70's style lodges I remembered, large game room, common kitchen area with plenty of sitting room. Close to skiing. Would highly recommend.

The Lodge was so convenient for skiing at either Mad River Glen or Sugarbush. It's so cozy and comfortable - the library with fireplace was a lovely place to unwind. We loved the game room, as well, and spent a few hours there playing shuffleboard and euchre and enjoying the company of other guests Loved the coffee bar and having a fridge to use. :) super comfy beds.

Chambre propre et literie vraiment confortable. Mini frigo : bonne surprise ! Café dispo et salle communautaire avec vaisselle/ frigo/ micro-ondes/ divans et tables. À deux minutes de St Ellen, 7 minutes de sugarbush Village. Bonne sélection de restaurant et épicerie à Waitfields (7 minutes). 4 étoiles: serviettes minimales (2 pour 2 personnes). Salle de bain désuète et bruyante . Pas de revitalisant pour cheveux. Prix cher pour chambre très petite même si type deluxe avec deux petits fauteuils. Personnel chaleureux mais absent pour accueil . Si vous avez un prix décent, c’est parfait. Si cher, cherchez autre chose!

Very nice ski lodge located very close to the Mount Ellen base at Sugarbush. Great communication via text with management before, during and at the end of the stay. Great shared/public spaces. The one single slight negative is the sound transmission through the walls, but I did not find it an issue.

Easy check in. They provide an area served coffee and tea. Guest can boil hot water. There is a microwave and refrigerator for guests to put their food in. They also provide small packs of ice for guests to bring on the road. Nice and big tables for guests to sit down for breakfast. It’s like self serve restaurant. Location is amazing. Less than a mile to Mount Ellen. 3 miles to Shaws. Definitely come back
