“Cozy little space for short term stay. Fairly well equipped. Appliances in good shape. Clean and tastefully decorated. Noisy road. No yard. Well situated close to amenities.”

“My family and I had a wonderful atay at Captain's House. The view of the bay right outside of the front of house was spectacular!! One morning we even saw a couple of whales breaching out there. Its a roomy place that held the 5 of us easily and a couple that came to visit us one day.Rachel was easy to deal with and responded to questions in a timely maner.I would definitely stay here again and recommend Captain's House to anyone coming to the area.”

“This is a great whole home property that offers a lot of easy trip options. There is a super cute small downtown that is a good spot for breakfast / shopping. There is a grocery store super close to the house and the kitchen is well equipped for any meal. The home has no AC but did provide fans. The back yard and deck are spacious but we spent most of our time traveling. This is a great location for families looking to maximize ability to hit Peggy’s Cove as well as down to Crescent Beach and……

“From the minute we arrived we felt right at home. The owners live next door, so we stopped over to let them know we were there and to get dinner suggestions. They gave us our privacy, but let us know they were there if we needed anything. This was one of the nicest vacation rentals we have stayed in, the house was very clean and nicely decorated. The weather was perfect, we were able to take the kayaks two mornings before heading out for a day of sight seeing. We will definitely stay there again……

“A week at the Hilltop Retreat was great…a month would have been better. This quaint little cottage provided a cozy but plentiful space for our family of four. We enjoyed the large, open yard, with plenty of room for outdoor activities, and the beautiful ocean view while sitting and drinking coffee every morning. We made great use of the golf clubs, kayaks and bicycles. The cottage provided a great base for us while we explored the south shore. We hope to visit again very soon!”
