Booked this room based on the high rating on Expedia. When we arrived we were taken back by the extremely strong use of air freshener to cover up their poor cleanliness. This is a two story hotel, we were given a room on the second floor, and when we asked where the elevator was they told us they did not have one. I told them that I was a 75 year old man with two knee replacements and that I could not portage my luggage up their stairs and asked them for help. The two people at the front desk refused to help us. I asked where their porter was and they said they had none. I then asked them to give us a room on the first floor and they said they would not in spite of there not being a single car in their parking lot. I then asked them to cancel our reservation and issue a refund due to them not being able to help me with my luggage and the poor cleanliness of the property and they refused. At that point we left and had to find another room to stay in that we could access. I called Expedia about this and they said they would call the hotel and ask them to authorize a refund which the hotel refused to do.
