Miharo Wanaka Retreat benefits from an ideal layout, spacious living spaces, luxury furnishings and superb views.

The terrific open plan living has a high vaulted ceiling and skylights and the ambience is modern, light and luxe. The well-equipped kitchen is a dream to cook in and includes a dishwasher, glass cooktop and coffee pod machine. There are stools at the breakfast bar and the dining suite, conveniently located beside the kitchen, seats 6. A highchair is available. Relax in the gorgeous lounge area with its ample seating, gas fireplace (only available June to September) and large smart TV, perfect at the end of the day. Heat pumps are available in the lounge for your comfort when the gas fire is unavailable. Enormous glass sliding doors open to the expansive covered alfresco area with the spectacular backdrop of mountain views. You’ll unwind just gazing at them! With a woodburner fireplace and plenty of seating, a BBQ and a five person jacuzzi (extra charges apply) in the garden, this area spells lazy days and cosy evenings with friends or family.

Note: Please not that the spa is only available ON REQUEST at an EXTRA CHARGE (contact us for details).  Please advise us if you wish to have the spa included in your stay, outside of the winter dates specified. The spa MUST BE requested 10 days prior to your arrival & paid for 7 days BEFORE YOUR ARRIVAL DATE.  The spa is NOT AVAILABLE on any instant bookings arriving within a 96 hour period of booking.

The separate media room is perfect for those with children to entertain, or to spend some quiet time, and has a large leather modular sofa and smart TV, as well as access to the garden.

The downstairs twin bedroom has built-in robes and access to the modern bathroom with a rain shower, vanity and toilet. There is an additional powder room and the laundry, with washing machine and dryer, is set in custom joinery in the large garage.

Upstairs are 3 bedrooms. The master is luxurious with a King bed and its own juliette balcony with stunning mountain views. The second is a Queen bedroom. Both have overhead fans and built-in robes. The third is a loft-style twin bedroom located above the garage with a desk. They are all beautifully appointed and comfortable and all linen is provided, except for the portacot should you need one. The modern main bathroom is equally well fitted out with a rain shower, vanity and toilet.

Air-conditioning/heat pumps ensure comfort year round, there is unlimited fair use WiFi and a Sonos Sound System for your use. With an EV Type 2 charger in the garage parking for one), solar power and additional off-street parking for an additional car (as well as plenty of street parking for a boat), we think you’re all set!

Please note, Airbnb does not consider infants to be guests (when counting numbers) and will allow you to book this property if any infants accompanying you take your guest numbers to higher than 8 guests. Unfortunately, our council regulations prohibit us from exceeding this number, including infants. If you do book for more than 8 guests, infants included, we will unfortunately need to cancel your booking and you will need to incur any fees we get charged.

You will have access to the entire property during your stay.

We are available to answer any questions via our Guest Portal DUVE. We leave guests alone during their stay but are on hand if required. I live locally and Im only a stones throw away. If there is something that requires attention during your stay, we will be able to attend within approximately 30 minutes.

Wanaka is an enchanting holiday destination, set on the southern side of Wanaka Lake. Miharo Wanaka Retreat is in a newly developed part of Wanaka, just 5 minutes’ drive from Wanaka town centre. Wanaka provides a wealth of cafes and restaurants, from fine dining to delicious pub food. For a spot of retail therapy there are several boutique stores and plenty of places for food shopping.

The lake’s backdrop is picture-perfect with stunning mountains framed by beautiful trees. Walks along the foreshore are a must. Water activities on offer include paddle boarding, kayaking, fishing and boating. Take a lake cruise or a scenic helicopter flight, try your hand at heli-skiing or perhaps a jet boat ride up the mighty Clutha River.

For the adventurous and more active, a walk to Rob Roy Glacier in the stunning Mt Aspiring National Park or a scenic mountain bike ride might appeal. To entertain the children a visit to Dingleburn Safari and Puzzling World with its maze and illusion room could be on the cards. Wanaka's 2 quirky unique movie theatres are worth a visit too.

Lakefront picnics, or lunch and a tour of the local vineyards should all be on your list and in winter, hit the slopes just a short drive away at the local ski fields: Cardrona, Treble Cone or the Snow Farm. Wanaka's airport is 9km away and Queenstown's airport is only an hour’s drive via the stunning Crown Range. Queenstown also offers a vast array of bars, eateries, shops, vineyards and other activities.

With so much on offer, and such a wonderful property in which to base yourself, this is bound to be a holiday to remember!

Enter Wanaka on Hwy 84, turn left into Riverbank Rd, right into Orchard Rd, right onto Cardrona Valley Rd, right into Avalon Station Rd, right into Deans Dr, left into Marjon Drive. The home is the last one on the far right (if looking at the homes, looking towards the lake)

Please note: Spa use is included in your booking for stays June 15 to September 30. The spa is available outside of these winter months ON REQUEST at an EXTRA CHARGE. Please advise us if you wish to have the spa included in your stay, outside of the winter dates specified. The spa MUST BE requested 10 days prior to your arrival & paid for 7 days BEFORE YOUR ARRIVAL DATE. The spa is NOT AVAILABLE on any instant bookings arriving within a 96 hour period of booking.

Once your booking is confirmed, you will be directed to our guest portal DUVE. Prior to check-in, you will be required to complete an identity check by scanning your drivers licence/passport and credit card before being provided with your arrival instructions. This provides security for the owners of the property so they are comfortable that you are who you say you are and you have the documents to prove it (similar to a hotel check-in procedure). We do not charge your card, nor does it get stored by our system, you are welcome to block out all, except the last 4 digits on the card, but please note that our Guest Portal DUVE has the highest level of PCI compliance available. This process is necessary due to the fact that we have a self-check-in system.
By booking with us you agree to the terms and conditions outlined in our Rental Policy and agree to follow our HOUSE RULES:
- No pets
- No smoking/vaping anywhere inside OR outside the property
- Report any breakages or damage
- Check-out by your agreed time: 10am
- Respect our neighbors by keeping noise to a minimum after 8pm and inside after 10pm
- Follow our STRICT NO PARTY POLICY.
- No extra guests other than the booked amount of guests and to not exceed 8 persons
- Underbed trundlers are not available for guest use
- No campervans, motorhomes, tents, caravans
- Fair use of unlimited Wifi and power - extra charges may apply if there is excessive use of these
- Sports equipment is not allowed inside the home - you may place this in the garage
- Boats to be parked outside of the garage
- Ski/snow board boots can dry in the garage in the hot water cupboard

Breaking these rules may result in charges being incurred as detailed in our terms and conditions. If you respect the property as you would your own home, you can relax and enjoy your stay.
