“The owners are the only staff there. They don’t clean the room during the stay, an open dog is wandering all around and nobody cared to fasten the dog belt. It does have a pool but u will have to gain the owner’s permission in order to use it, hence it’s more like a decoration. 3 rooms share a lobby which is the only access to a fridge. Strongly don’t suggest any Asian fellows to stay. ”

“The bed sheets has many insects. It seems that there has no change the bed sheets. There has no pillow provided. 1st night - we double checked and made sure the door locked before we go bed to sleep. In the morning, we saw the door was opened. The door had scratch marks， I guess somebody use the tools to open the door. Be careful your bags and money if you stay in there. We really cannot sleep in the 2nd night. The washroom is clean. The location is not different to find. I won’t……

“This is a very rustic property with lots of character. I didn't partake, but was told the included breakfast was very good (apparently the chef is a pastry chef) the room was comfy, and the area was serene. If you stay here you have access to the natural hot pools 24/7. The staff were friendly and helpful. We stayed 4 days and it was nicely convenient to a lot of places. “Had a one night stay following a trip to Hobbiton movie set. Stayed in chalet Frodo which is only a 10-15 min drive from Hobbiton.The chalet is very clean and well appointed. While quite compact it had everything the two of us required for an overnight stay. We had dinner at Osteria restaurant in the main centre which is only a 3 min drive away. Thoroughly recommend Osteria for quality of food, portion size , atmosphere and price”

“We were booked in for the guesthouse but when we got here really wanted to stay multiple nights and were given the option to move into a wing of the homestead at the same rate which was a generous option -- Frances and Julian are wonderful. ”

“This is a very perfect mansion which is both classic and modern. I’m surprised that even the towels are put on a heating rack. We love the food a lot, both dinner and breakfast. Fresh ingredients and nicely cooked by the host! Host is very nice and introduced us to sheep feeding. Thanks for lending us a HDMI cable as well since our laptop’s monitor is not functioning well and we need to connect it to the TV.”
